September is shaping up to be a PAW-some month for finding forever homes! ❤️ The Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake has THREE adoption events coming up, and we can’t wait to introduce you to some of our wonderful dogs and cats looking for families of their own.

🐾🎉 HAPPY NATIONAL DOG DAY FROM OLLIE’S! 🎉🐾

Today we celebrate the reason we have the best job in the world… DOGS! 🐶❤️

The ones who greet us like we’ve been gone for 47 years…
The ones who think every puddle is a swimming pool…
The ones who believe personal space is a ridiculous human invention… 😂
And the ones who somehow manage to turn a perfectly clean daycare into a fur-covered crime scene in approximately 12 seconds. 🤣

Can’t share all 600 of our wonderful pups! But here’s some of our pups we’ve had this last week! Enjoy! 📸

At Ollie’s, we believe every dog deserves:

☀️🐾 HEAT SAFETY 101: Keeping Our Pups Cool! 🐾☀️

Summer heat can be tough on our four-legged friends—especially when they’re playing, running, and having as much fun as our daycare crew! 💕 That’s why keeping the pups cool and comfortable is one of our BIG priorities at Ollie’s Pet Resort. 🐶❄️

Here are some of the things we do to beat the heat:

🧊 Frozen treats! We give the pups refreshing frozen goodies to help them cool down while enjoying a tasty treat.

❄️ Cooling vests available ALL DAY! Our pups can take advantage of cooling vests whenever they need an extra chill.

💦 Damp floors: We keep the floors lightly damp to help provide a cooler surface for the pups to lay on and relax.

💡 Lights down low: We keep our indoor environment comfortable by dimming the lights and creating a calmer, cooler atmosphere.

💨 Plenty of cool-down time: We watch the dogs closely and give them opportunities to rest, drink water, and cool off between play sessions.

🐾 Heat safety is a team effort! Some dogs—especially flat-faced breeds, senior dogs, overweight dogs, and dogs with thick coats—can be more sensitive to heat.

🐾 TUESDAY TREATS WITH OLLIE! 🐾

After a busy summer boarding season, we’re ready to get back into the swing of things! Since it’s Tuesday, let’s talk about all the new Tuesday Treats coming in!

I’m especially excited about the new bacon-and-cheese-flavored hooves! 🥓🧀 These tasty, long-lasting chews are packed with flavor and are perfect for keeping your pup happily occupied. They’re definitely going to be a favorite around here!

Come see us at the Mabank Farmers Market on Saturday, August 29, and check out all the goodies we’ll have available!

We’re also preparing for our annual adoption event benefiting the Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake this September. To help raise money, we’ll be hosting a Pampered Chef fundraiser! All you Pampered Chef enthusiasts, keep following our page—more information is coming soon! ❤️🐶

What’s worse than having one pug brother? Having TWO pug brothers. 🙄

That’s right—I’ll soon be introducing you to Wink, my new annoying little one-eyed pug brother. Apparently, Spud wasn’t enough trouble, so now there are two of them stealing my treats and testing my patience. Please keep me in your thoughts during this difficult time. 😂🐾
