HSSM is looking for foster HEROES to help our tiniest feline friends thrive while they wait for their forever homes.

HSSM will provide you with everything you need: food, supplies, medical care, and support. You just have to provide the home and the love!

We currently have kittens of EVERY kind looking for foster homes:
Gray kittens, black kittens, orange kittens, tabby kittens, and even mama cats with their babies.

And they all come with their own unique personalities! We've got spicy kittens, sweet kittens, silly kittens, playful kittens, snuggly kittens and even some kittens that are feeling under the weather that need some extra TLC.

By opening your home for just a short time, you're giving these vulnerable pets the chance to grow, heal, socialize, and prepare for adoption. Every foster home means another life saved.

Meet Mocha & Cocoa, two adorable 3-year-old Shih Tzu brothers who are searching for a forever home together. Weighing in at about 25 pounds each, these sweet boys recently found themselves at HSSM after their previous owner could no longer care for them. While their world has changed, one thing remains constant, their love for each other.

Mocha and Cocoa are a bonded pair, which means they must be adopted together. The good news? You'll get twice the tail wags, twice the cuddles, and two built-in best friends who already know how to share life's adventures side by side. 🐾

Their combined adoption fee is just $300, and that includes:
✔️ Up-to-date vaccinations
✔️ Prevention
✔️ Microchipping
✔️ Neuter surgery already completed

Looking for a meaningful and fun way to keep your kids engaged this summer?!

Join HSSM's Summer Reading & Club Paws Enrichment Program and give your young animal lovers the chance to make a real difference for pets waiting for their forever homes!

Tomorrow (6/5), children ages 5-15 are invited to participate in our Club Paws Enrichment Program at the adoption center, where they'll create delicious treats for our shelter pets from 10am – 11 am.

With our shelter currently caring for more than 400 animals, programs like these give children a hands-on opportunity to learn compassion, kindness, and the importance of giving back to their community.

✨ Participation is completely FREE!
✨ All supplies are provided.
✨ Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

While waiting for forever homes, Beluga and Shiloh found something special, a friendship.

Over the last few months, these two have become the best of friends. What started as a couple of playdates each week has grown into a bond we look forward to seeing every time they're together.

These photos were taken during a "Doggy Day Out", where they got to spend the day outside the shelter together. Watching them explore, play, and simply enjoy being dogs was a reminder that friendship can make everything in life a little easier.

Beluga and Shiloh have found comfort, confidence, and companionship in one another while they wait for families of their own.

We love seeing these moments, but our biggest wish is that both of these wonderful dogs find homes where they can make new best friends—whether that's another dog, a family, or a person all their own.

Both Beluga and Shiloh are available for adoption at HSSM. Help us find these amazing dogs the forever homes they deserve. HSSM's adoption center is open TODAY from 10am-5pm.

HSSM is currently offering $25 adoptions through Satuday, June 6th. NOW is the time to adopt or foster from your local open admissions animal shelter. Don't wait, they need you.
