Wright Pet Care is currently looking for a pet sitter for the Gulf Breeze Proper/Pensacola Beach area. This is an Independent Contract position and is currently only for those seeking long-term supplemental income. Income varies on a weekly basis and can not be guaranteed.
Our pet care time frames are 7-9 am, 10-2 pm, and 5:30-8:30 and visits vary each week. Must be available to work on Christmas eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
There will be potential to increase clientele basis through provided advertisement materials.
Essential Duties:
Travel to and between clientsâ homes independently to visit and care for assigned animals including but not limited to dogs, cats, birds, hamsters and fish.
Maintain care, custody and control of all animals in your care for the entire duration of the job.
Observe animalsâ appearance and activity for general physical and mental condition; looking for obvious signs of disease or discomfort.
Report and signs of illness, disease, discomfort or abnormal behavior to client immediately.
Thoroughly clean and disinfect crates, litter boxes, cages and other areas of clientâs home as needed.
Following clientsâ instructions, provide proper food, water and medication to animals.
Thoroughly clean pet bowls and pick up after pets outside as well as inside if there are any in-home accidents.
Exercise and walk dogs, if assigned.
Secure clientsâ homes using keys and alarm codes as instructed.
Follow all prescribed safety measures, policies and procedures.
Positively represent the company at client consults as part of the on boarding process for new clients.
Assist with typical home duties as assigned, which may include but are not limited to: bringing in the mail/packages, taking out the trash, watering plants, add water to a pool, rotating lights.
Required Skills & Abilities
General animal safety and risk management; dogs and cats.
Dependable: be on time to visits to ensure the safety and comfort of pets.
Ability to utilize mobile technology and apps in order to complete assigned duties and record job activity.
Flexible: handle changes in schedule and clientsâ needs.
Time management: use time efficiently at and between visits.
Availability: Available on semi-short notice for visits in clientâs homes.
Attention to detail (instructions, observations and procedures).
Ability to give and receive feedback regarding job performance and clients.
Ability to focus on and complete assigned tasks as required per written and verbal instructions.
Ability to follow detailed client service instructions every time.
Ability communicate clearly, both written and verbally.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
