Happy Monday, Parkway family! 💚

We're loving the cooler temperature today thanks to the recent rain! ☔️ Finally, a little break from the heat and a chance to catch up on those walks! Stay cautious though, and watch your pets closely for signs of overheating, as humidity can amplify the impact of seemingly mild temps. 🐕🚶‍♀️

We'd also like to add a friendly reminder that heartworm, flea, and tick prevention is a year-round necessity here in Florida, even when it feels a little cooler out. These pests don’t take a break, and neither should prevention. 🐾

There is a heat advisory for today and tomorrow, so let's keep our furbabies cool and safe. 🥵

- Limit walks to early in the morning
- Limit outdoor time
- Make sure they always have access to shade and water

Be on the lookout for symptoms of heat stroke. If you observe any of the following, contact your vet immediately:

- excessive panting
- drooling
- bright red gums
- lethargy
- vomiting
