Keep your pets safe tonight!

It's almost that time, New Years Eve 2024! We love our pets but most of them don't love the fireworks! Here are a few tips to help keep them safe...

Preparing In advance:

Make sure your pets – cats and dogs alike – have identification tags with up-to-date information. If you have horses, you might consider marking a safety (breakaway) halter with your contact information and leaving it on your horse during this stressful time.

If your pets aren’t already microchipped, talk with your veterinarian about microchipping. This simple procedure can greatly improve your chances of getting your pets back if they become lost.

If your pets are microchipped, make sure that your contact information in the microchip registry is up-to-date. Take a current photo of all of your cats, dogs and horses, etc. – just in case.

To all that braved the Riverfront Farmers Market last night, thank you!! We know that the weather was less than perfect but you made it a perfect night for us! Our last markets of the year will be Nederland Farmers and Artisans Market on the 14th and one last market on the 21st down by the river! Stock up this month while we take a much needed rest in January!

Unfortunately we won't be at Nederland Farmers Market tomorrow because I don't want to risk getting sick from the unpredictable weather. One risk of chemo is low white blood cell counts and I just can't see the benefit of taking risks with my health. We will, weather permitting, be at the Riverfront Farmers Market on Saturday, November 9th from 8a-11a and hope to see you there!
