🎥 I’m excited to share something new with all of you.
Over the past few hours, I stepped outside my comfort zone and created this educational video about GDV (Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus), commonly known as bloat. As Doberman owners, breeders, and dog lovers, we know that GDV is one of the most serious emergencies our dogs can face. It can develop rapidly, and without immediate veterinary intervention, it can become fatal.
Some of the warning signs include:
⚠️ Restlessness or pacing
⚠️ Unproductive retching or attempts to vomit
⚠️ Excessive drooling
⚠️ A swollen or distended abdomen
⚠️ Sudden weakness or collapse
The goal of this video is simple: education saves lives.
As many of you know, the Ember Reign Foundation was created to help dogs and families facing emergency veterinary crises. While financial assistance remains a major part of our mission, education is equally important. If we can help even one family recognize an emergency sooner, we may help save a dog’s life before it becomes too late.
This is the first of many educational videos I hope to create through the foundation. I’d genuinely love your feedback. Did this resonate with you? Was it informative? Would you like to see more content like this covering other emergency conditions that dog owners should know about?
Thank you for supporting both Campbell’s Family Dobermans and the Ember Reign Foundation. Together, we’re building something bigger than ourselves—one that helps dogs not only in times of crisis, but through education and awareness as well.
