🌀 Hurricane Season is here 🌀

As we prepare for the months ahead, don’t forget to include your pets in your family’s hurricane plan.

Here are a few important reminders:

✅ Make sure your pet’s microchip information is current and your contact information is up to date.
✅ Have at least 7–14 days of food, medications, and any prescription diets on hand.
✅ Keep vaccination records and medical information easily accessible.
✅ Prepare a pet emergency kit with food, water, medications, bowls, leash, carrier, waste bags, and comfort items.
✅ Identify pet-friendly evacuation locations before a storm threatens.
✅ Don’t wait until the last minute to refill medications.

Drs. Pivach and Vichot have had the joy of visiting each of their three children’s kindergarten classes over the years to talk about the important role kids play in helping care for their family pets.

Today, they had the pleasure of speaking to their youngest child’s kindergarten class, and as always, it was one of the most anticipated days of the school year!

The students learned about feeding pets healthy food and keeping fresh water available, using gentle hands, making time for play and exercise, and why regular veterinary visits help keep pets happy and healthy. They also had so much fun putting on their own hats, gloves, and stethoscopes to give their stuffed animals checkups like real veterinarians!

We think we enjoyed it just as much as the children did! 🐾
