Livy & Company Artist & Designer🪔Colorful, Hand-Dyed, Old World Quality, Lovingly, Hand-Crafted Style for pets & their peeps. Look for the šŸ WHAT'S OUR STORY?

It all started with a little rescue dog sporting BIG ears and two creative sisters with a ginormous love of animals and the outdoors. Inspired by a desire to work together and build a family business, doing what we love, while making people and dogs happy, and most importantly LOOK and FEEL good...we decided to pool our talents and start Livy & Company. We always try to take the time to smell the

flowers and look for beauty in life. We also frequently find reasons to laugh and try to make other people laugh. Most importantly, we ALWAYS want our animal AND human friends to feel loved, appreciated and good about themselves. We want to spread joy and beauty as much as possible. We come from a big extended family and have a creative mother and two other beautiful sisters who are also amazing, talented dog lovers, and who one day we hope to suck into our business with us.

ALL ABOUT LIVY

When she first came to live with Michelle and her two other dogs, Stella May and Winston, she was a scrawny, scared little thing with these ears that seemed way too big for her head. Every one was always commenting on how beautiful Stella May was - a bodacious and extroverted golden retriever - but how scrawny and scared poor little Livy seemed. Natalie sent Michelle a red flower that she made for Livy's collar as a gift. The flower was a gesture of love and intended to give Livy a unique sense of style and personality and to welcome her into the family. This flower soon became Livy's trademark and everywhere Michelle took her, people commented about how cute she was and how much they loved the flower. The more people loved her and commented on her flower, the sweeter she became and the more her little personality blossomed. The flower became a "Livy trademark" and Michelle photographed her in all kinds of flowers and costumes for calendars, cards and used her in creative and marketing projects. Friends started asking for their own flowers and eventually,"What else do you have? Where can we buy them?"

And that was that. One tiny little red flower for Livy lit the fire of an idea that is now Livy & Company. Michelle and Natalie continue to create, test and add new products to their assortment that would make any dog feel stylish. They focus on combining their love of flowers and the outdoors with their passion for making a dog's tail wag because they feel so special and loved. They've even added people accessories and will continue to explore new options for expanding the product line to add more items for dog-lovin' people. Most of all, Michelle and Natalie hope you love your Livy & Company products just as much as they love making them for you. As a side note, every time Michelle leaves the house, she says to Livy, Stella May and Winston, "Be Good! I'll be back home soon!" Natalie and Michelle thought this seemed like a smart little mantra to share because it has an even bigger meaning if you think about it. Also, Livy now has a complete wardrobe of different blinged out collars and flowers in every color. Her current favorite is a yellow one with a bumble bee center.

I’ve been wanting to make something like these collars for over a year now, but couldn’t find the right glow-in-the-dark paint to make them happen. Then a couple of weeks ago - SHAZAM - I stumbled over one last brand to test. And wouldn’t you know…it’s perfect and bright! These are my first prototypes, so the glow patterns are just random. And guess what??? You can wash them too. 😮 And guess what what? The tags I made for them glow tooooo! āš”ļø

I made two mediums, one large and one XL, if you are interested. The XL has an orange buckle, because I haven’t been able to find an XL yellow buckle I like yet, but the orange is just as cute.

I’ll be bringing them with me this Saturday to the at Trailblazer Park in Travelers Rest, or I’m happy to ship! I can’t wait to experiment with more designs.

Let me know what you think! šŸšŸŒŗ

If you haven’t already noticed, I’ve been struggling over the last year or so to decide who I want to be in this handmade universe. I feel like all the years before this year, I have been all over the map (most of the time looking like a spazmataz). 🤣

So, last year I buckled down and started working on a more coherent plan. I’ve been slowly implementing that plan and refreshing my brand to reflect a more authentic and unique vision- to zero in on the things that bring me the most joy. Things that I am proud to put out into the world because they bring you and your furry family joy too. Working smarter, focusing on crafting quality products that will last, feel timeless and hold up after years of use. Things you can depend on- a brand you can trust. I’m not all the way there, but I think I’m so, so close.

It’s not always easy balancing being the designer, the maker, the marketer, the seller, the customer service agent and the administrator. I often fall short and forget things. It’s downright scary sometimes when you work hard to prepare for an event, only for that event to get rained out or nobody shows up.

But through all the ups and downs, your continued support and love has been the fuel that stokes my fire. There is nothing more addictive in this universe than feeling happiness and joy emanating from a happy customer or seeing something I made on a happy boo. Tails wagging, faces smiling, lickers licking. Some of you have newly followed me or recently bought something from me. Others of you have been supporting me and holding my hand for more than 8 years now. 😮

What I really want to communicate, is to say, ā€œI see you. I deeply, sincerely appreciate you. I love you and am thankful for every single beautiful, unique you out there.ā€

Without you, I would be so sad. There would be no Livy & Company.

There is no word big enough to describe my gratitude.

Have a wonderful weekend and I can’t wait to catch up with you at an event soon. Come find me every Saturday morning, all summer long, beside my market family . I can’t wait to hear your stories, and see all your photos and smiling faces. 🫶

I am in love with our new collar charms. Every new collar I make will feature one of these signature charms. This custom hand dyed beauty is my favorite of the day. It’s on its way to a sweet customer in San Diego, but I can make one just for your baby too. You can pick from one of the color combos I offer in my store, or tell me what you are hoping for and I’ll work with you to create your heart’s desire. Add one of our hand dyed flowers or bow ties and you are ready to pawty! šŸšŸŒ¼

Our Story

WHAT'S OUR STORY? It all started with a little rescue dog that someone threw in a ditch. _____________________________________ ALL ABOUT LIVY When she first came to live with Michelle, Jay, Stella May and Ding, she was a scrawny, scared little thing with ears that seemed WAY too big for her head and shaked constantly. When we took them both out and about...everyone commented on how beautiful Stella May was - a bodacious and extroverted golden retriever - but how scrawny and scared poor little Livy seemed. Michelle’s sister, Natalie, sent Livy a red flower to attach to her collar. The flower was a gesture of love and intended to give Livy a unique sense of style and personality - a welcoming gift into the family.

The more people commented on her flower and oooood and ahhhhhhd over her, the calmer and friendlier she became. She blossomed and the flower became her trademark. :-) And that was that. One tiny little red flower lit the fire for Livy & Company. #OurFertilizerIsLove
