🛠️ Calling All Builders, Handymen & Skilled Volunteers! 🐾

K9 Battle Buddies is looking for a few generous individuals who would be willing to donate their time and talents to help us build a catio for our rescue cats.
We have a limited budget, but we do have funds set aside to purchase all of the building materials needed. What we desperately need is someone with the experience and willingness to help bring this project to life.
The project is a 9’ x 20’ wood-framed catio that will be built on an existing concrete slab (the concrete has already been poured). The outside will be enclosed with wire mesh, topped with a bronze polycarbonate roof, and the inside will include cat shelves and climbing areas to provide enrichment for our feline residents.
We will gladly take care of all the painting ourselves—we’re simply asking for help with the construction.
A new catio would give our rescue cats a safe, secure place to enjoy fresh air, sunshine, and the sights and sounds of the outdoors while remaining protected. It would make a tremendous difference in their quality of life as they wait for their forever homes. With shelves and climbing areas inside, it would also provide enrichment, exercise, and a place where our cats can simply relax and enjoy being cats.
If you’re a builder, carpenter, handyman, or have construction experience and would be be willing to donate your time on Friday, August 14, 2026, we would be incredibly grateful. Whether you can help with the entire project or just part of it, your generosity would mean the world to us—and to the cats.
