K9 Turbo, a stunning GSD has been added to our breeding program. 2 new males and 2 new females are being fully tested to add German Shepherds to our Litters on the ground program.

100% of all our litters go through the Foundation Dog® training program and are available to our Franchisees to be trained and certified as Foundation Dogs, and then to be finished as service dogs, protection dogs and special security dogs.

We do NOT sell puppies to the general public. Our Mals/Dutchies and our GSDs are working dogs, not pets.

There are 4 phases to training a Foundation Dog and this training is intense, for the dog and the trainer. Tracking, scent detection, advanced obedience and protection/apprehension.

By training 100% of every litter, and managing the ongoing work/support of these litters for years, the feedback allows us to constantly improve our breeding program, our "Litters on the Ground" program and ensure our franchises are delivering the highest quality working dogs in their communities.

Challenge Coins initially were used by the military to show participation in specific campaigns, service in or with specific units, or to mark accomplishments.

Many civil service units and civilian organizations have adopted the use of for those same reasons as well as to honor support given or as a form of outreach.

has recently commissioned the creation of a coin to mark recognition through World’s 🌍 Greatest.

Top Tier K9 Greenwood in an unknowing but parallel path created a challenge coin to honor the support from individuals that we are receiving that allows us to do the cool things we get to do everyday.

Monthly Training Tip:

Timing is Everything

One of the most valuable skills you can develop in dog training is timing. In practical terms, delivering reinforcement promptly helps create a clear connection between the behavior and environment its outcome. The closer the reinforcement occurs to the behavior, the more likely it is that the learner will understand the relationship, and be motivated to repeat the behavior.

A generally excepted rule of thumb is that to be most effective reinforcement should be delivered within 1.3 seconds of the desired behavior.

The same idea holds through for correction as well. If you were going to correct the behavior that you don’t want. (jumping on grandma, peeing on your cat, chewing on your Chuck Taylor.), if you can’t deliver the correction within about 1.3 seconds of it happening let it go. The dog has moved on by then, and is less likely to associate the correction to the infraction. It’s more likely to damage your relationship than teacher, pup, anything of value.
