When I Wake Up in Heaven

When I wake up in heaven, I’ll hear joyful barks,
Not trumpets or harps, but pawprints in sparks.
Wagging tails will greet me, eyes shining bright,
Guiding my soul through the soft morning light.

No gates made of gold—just fields to explore,
With muddy paw kisses and noses galore.
Each furry friend I once had to let go
Will run to my side, tails in joyful tow.

We’ll chase the wind through a sky painted blue,
With laughter and howls like we always used to.
No pain in their joints, no gray on their face,
Just boundless young hearts in a timeless place.

For love never ends, it just changes its form—
And waits with a bark through each heavenly storm.
So if you still grieve when you look to the skies,
Know they’ll be the first ones to find you and rise.

As we are approaching the hottest days of the year please make sure to keep your four-legged companion safe. Owners of brachycephalic breeds should be especially vigilant as those breeds especially don’t do well in heat. Let’s all have a great and safe summer 🏝☀️ heatstrokeindogs
