Our hearts are so full of gratitude this week for the incredible rescues who stepped up for some of our most urgent and overlooked dogs. 💚
✨ Canine Healing Project – thank you for giving Payne, our sweet 10-year-old senior, the fresh start he deserved. After 38 days of waiting, this gentle old man finally left the shelter for a better life.
✨ Dede's Angels – you always come through when we need you most!
• Gurgi – our little angry scruffball with the attitude of a 90-lb guard dog, somehow managed to steal every heart here.
• Pomchi – a 9-year-old staff favorite who stayed with us for 23 days before falling ill with pneumonia and refusing to eat. He needed out urgently, and you graciously saved him.
✨ Astro Kennels – you walked in looking for a large dog and instantly fell for Caz! After 40 days here and just returning from boarding, he showed off his amazing qualities and you couldn’t resist. (Check out their great video of him—now named Duckie—and follow along as he begins training with them!)
✨ Gracie Acres – once again, thank you for stepping up for Buttercream. Despite being blind from changes to both eyes, this joyful, lovable boy never let it slow him down, and now he has the chance he deserves.
To each of you: the difference you make isn’t only in the lives of the dogs you save—it’s in ours too. You give hope, you give second chances, and you remind us every day why this work matters. 🐾💜

This week, our hearts are full of both sorrow and deep gratitude. 💚
First, a HUGE, HUGE thank you to Jesse’s Place. You may have seen our emergency plea for three tiny puppies suffering from severe anemia and demodex who needed out immediately.
💔 Sadly, the smallest little one didn’t make it—his tiny body was just too weak and his temperature had begun to drop.
💚 But thanks to Jesse’s Place, his two surviving friends, Poptart and Pickle, are now safe and receiving the care they desperately need.
We also want to give a special shoutout to everyone involved from networking to transporting - Sharon B., Audra, and Rebecca – your quick action and tireless efforts made this rescue possible.
To everyone who shared, cared, and jumped in when every minute counted: thank you. Because of you, two fragile lives have a chance to heal and grow. 🐾💜

We have so much to be thankful for this week—and our hearts are full of gratitude! 💛

Dede’s Angels – thank you for pulling our sweet Gouda off the urgent list! Gouda was with us for 26 days and had a medical concern that made adoption a challenge. He quickly became one of our favorites, and we’re so grateful you gave him the chance he deserves!

Hampton’s Hope Sanctuary – a huge thank you for saying yes to our long-timer Onion. This sweet girl spent 50 days waiting for her perfect match and just couldn’t seem to find her place. You gave her the fresh start she’s been waiting for, and we couldn’t be happier!

Carolina Loving Hound – when we urgently needed help for a broken-leg pup, you stepped up immediately with no hesitation. Your quick action means the world to us and to this little one.

To each of you: thank you for giving these animals hope and new beginnings. We are beyond grateful for your compassion and support!

First and foremost, we want to give a HUGE thank you to our amazing rescue partners who stepped up in such a big way this week! 💛

Gracie Acres – you pulled three dogs off our urgent list and gave them the chance they deserve.
• Mono – my personal favorite with a story that went from heartbreaking to hopeful. He was rescued off the streets of Colombia, moved to the U.S. with his owner, and then sadly lost his home again when his owner had to urgently return to Colombia due to domestic issues. Gracie Acres gave Mono the third chance he needed—we can’t wait to see him thrive!
• Marshmellow & Ronnie – both had their quirks, but thanks to Gracie Acres, they are now living their best lives!

The Barker Rescue Project – earlier this week you took on a huge medical case: sweet Biscuits with a broken jaw, and two ringworm cats. Your “yes” means the world to us—thank you for giving them a true second chance!

Angel’s Among Us – you surprised us by pulling Cinnamon, one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet, even though he’s healing from a leg injury. You didn’t let that stop you from giving him the safe space he needed.

This week was all about stepping up—and each of you did just that. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving these animals the fresh start they deserve! 🐾

✨ A late but very heartfelt THANK YOU post ✨
This is for last week—we may be behind on sharing, but we never forgot how thankful we are for our amazing rescue partners! 💙
🐾 Gracie Acres – Thank you for pulling Turnip! She stayed with us for 25 days with little hope of getting out. From a shut-down pup to a happy, waggy girl desperate to leave the shelter—Gracie Acres made that happen!
🐾 Always Room For One More – Yes, again! You stepped up for not one, but TWO large, urgent, long-stay black dogs (the hardest to place!).
Biscuit: Returned through no fault of his own, with glowing praise from his adopters.
Grogy: 46 days in the shelter with no interest, even with that adorable underbite!
Thank you for giving them both another chance.
🐾 Pawsitive Impact – Thank you for pulling Runt! One of my personal favorites, who just had...."quirks". She had been with us for 18 days and while we knew she had come from a social office life, she didn't quite like us. However, you gave her the fresh start she deserved.
We are so grateful for each and every one of you for giving these pups the chance to shine outside shelter walls. 💕

Big gratitude going out today to two incredible rescues! 💛
🐾 Passion 4 Paws – You gave freedom rides to Frog, Toad, and Kerchack! 🐸🐸 Frog and Toad had been with us for 39 days. Despite being amazing dogs, they just weren’t getting much interest. They came in together, landed on our urgent list, and now they get to leave together, too! Kerchack had been here for 26 days, got sick, went to boarding, came back, and was still waiting for a hero—until you stepped in. Thank you for making their happy endings possible!
🐾 Angels Among Us – Talk about timing! You had transporters right here at the shelter ready to scoop up Zeusito, who had been with us for 39 days. This big, goofy meathead was a staff favorite and on our urgent list, and we could never understand why he didn’t have any interest. Now he has his second chance—thanks to you!
We appreciate you both more than we can say! 💕

Today we’re sending a huge THANK YOU to two amazing rescues! 💛
🐾 Passion 4 Paws – You jumped into action the moment we reached out about Pip and Long Stocking, two sweet puppies just surrendered. When we found out they had ringworm and needed out ASAP, you didn’t hesitate. GHS truly came to their rescue, as you always do when we’re in a pinch!
🐾 Jesse’s Place – You gave two of our shelter’s favorite old gentlemen their freedom rides! BC (12 years old) and Frankie (8 years old) are both super cool, super chill, and love their people. We were all SO happy to see them leave the shelter for better days ahead.
Thank you both for your quick action, big hearts, and constant support. We appreciate you more than words can say! 💕

This week, we want to extend a HUGE thank you to three incredible rescues who stepped up for some very special dogs!
🧡 Always Room For One More – A big welcome and thank you to this new rescue partner! They stepped up for Beans and got him out of the shelter exactly when he needed it most. We’re so grateful for your quick communication and swift action—we’re excited to work together more in the future!
❤️ Red’s House Rescue – After Valor came off a court hold, this amazing team made sure he would never know a filthy crate again. His background was heartbreaking, but Red’s House gave him a chance to heal, and if you’ve seen their updates—you know he’s one of the SWEETEST dogs out there. Thank you for taking a chance on a scared pup with an unknown personality.
💙 Dog Squad – Last week they pulled Oyster, and this week they came back for his friend! This bonded buddy now has his own adorable update video, and we’re so thankful Dog Squad didn’t leave him behind. These two now have a future full of love and care, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
THANK YOU to each of you for giving these deserving pups the fresh start they’ve waited so long for. 💫

🌟 Rescue Appreciation Post 🌟
The past two days have been overwhelming — with a major influx of dogs, we were in urgent need of help on very short notice. And as always, our incredible rescue partners stepped up in a big way.
💚 Greenville Humane Society – Initially coming for just Crystal, one large dog… but left with Lady Moose and her 6 pups, plus 7 puppies someone dropped in our parking lot. You always go above and beyond, and we’re so grateful for your unwavering support.
💙 Living Hope Canine Rescue – Thank you for giving Max, a sweet senior shepherd, the safe, loving place he desperately needed. He was on our urgent list, and you came through when it mattered most.
🧡 Paved Paws Rescue – You stepped up for Candy, a gentle girl in need of TLC, and didn’t stop there. When we contacted you about an urgent kitten with possible ringworm, you didn’t hesitate. That’s the kind of dedication that changes lives.
💜 Gracie Acres – Echo had been waiting over 30 days, and his time was nearly up. But you made sure he didn’t get left behind. Thank you for being there when he needed someone most.
💛 Lighthouse Animal Shelter – Thank you for taking Brandi, one of our biggest shelter sweethearts who always greeted us with a smile. Her tail never stopped wagging, and now she’s off to a brighter future.
✨ Special thanks to these rescues who also helped us tremendously this week:
Dog Squad Rescue – for taking Oyster, an emaciated pup now on the path to a much better life.
Hampton’s Hope – for stepping up once again, this time for Rocco, a senior boy who urgently needed out.
We can’t thank you all enough for showing up when we needed it most. This kind of teamwork saves lives. 💫

We’re a little late—but our gratitude is right on time. 💛
Last week, Passion 4 Paws pulled ELEVEN dogs from our urgent list—every single one a long-stay pup who needed out during a truly critical moment. Because of them, Apollo, Nala, Gummy Bear, Tibby, Maynard, Huskyanna, Freya, Skunk, Knuckles, Polo, and Oxygen are finally safe. These were dogs we’ve been fighting for—and now, they finally have a chance.
We also want to send a huge thank you to Hampton's Hope Sanctuary, who stepped up in a massive way. They rushed to help Batman, who needed out immediately due to worsening wounds, and then pulled off something incredible: they took in Anubis, the dear friend of Thor, who they had rescued just a few weeks earlier.
We are so grateful for your compassion, hustle, and heart. Thank you for showing up when it mattered most. 🐾💕
