So happy to see how much storm cleanup has been done at Riverbend! Greenville Foothills Pony Club was able to hold their February Mounted Meeting, it was great to have the parking area full of trucks and trailers, with no debris pile!

We had a great day working to help put Riverbend back together after the storm! We had a great mix of people, Greenville Foothills Pony Club families, Elizabeth Thomsen of Night and Day Riding and some of her crew, neighbors, and some Wade Hampton High School students logging volunteer hours! Access to one of the paddocks was restored, new electric fencelines strung, some trail clearing done, and another pasture fenceline cleared so horses can go out again once the big fallen trees are removed! Wish we had gotten a group photo with the whole crew, but we got most of us in there!

Most of the remaining cleanup will require heavy equipment, which the county is working on, but we're hoping to organize some fundraising to help rejuvenate Riverbend and allow it to continue as a hub for equestrian activities and all who enjoy its beauty. Anyone with ideas or interested in helping, feel free to comment here or message the page!

Hello all! I hope that everyone is getting back to some sort of normal after the impact of Hurricane Helene. Hello friends of Riverbend Equestrian Park! As you may (or may not) know, Riverbend and the neighborhoods around it were hit pretty hard by Helene. Greenville County has started cleanup of the park, but there is still a lot to do. The majority of the damage is due to trees falling, with many of the pasture fences impacted, and the trails are essentially impassable right now. There are plans in the works for a cleanup/work day, please keep an eye on this space for more details! Let's continue to demonstrate to Greenville County that we value this facility and want to see it continue to be available for all stakeholders, including equestrians and neighbors who enjoy the park on a daily basis.
