Hi Greenville! My name is Ana Tomb, and I'm the face behind Sweet PawCakes. Some of you may know me as the "treat lady." Some of your dogs can see me coming with my treats from a mile away π But some of you are new here, so I thought I would introduce myself again!
I was originally born in Panama (the country in Central America). I moved to Greenville back in 2019. Before moving here, I moved quite a bit with my husband, so we came here hoping to put down roots.
I have two beautiful children, a 6 year old girl and a 4 year old boy. They are my everything! I live for them and my pups.
I have two dogs, Mia and Oggi. Mia is almost 10 years old, and she was my first baby. Oggi is 7. Mia and Oggi are my official treat testers, and they're my biggest fans π
My life has taken quite a few turns. Five years ago, I would have never guessed I'd be running a pet bakery and be the happiest I've ever been.
My background is in engineering. Biomedical Engineering, specifically. After college, I ended up working for one of the biggest mozzarella cheese manufacturers in the world as a supervisor. I absolutely hated it. Then I became a mom and quit that job.
After having my baby girl, I decided to pursue a degree in accounting. I've always been good at math, but it turns out I'm also really good at finances and managing money and debt. Then, at some point last year, I decided I would open my own pet bakery. To be honest, I'm not sure when exactly I decided it would be a good idea, but I do remember going all in. I used to always bake for Mia and Oggi, so that was super helpful in getting things going. When it comes to my business and the ingredients I choose, I stick to the basics. I choose natural, clean, and high quality. I go with ingredients that are safe for dogs, backed by research.
Finally, I live an easygoing life. Other than spending quality time with my family, I love to exercise and spend time outside. My favorite color is pink. My favorite dog breed is pitbulls. I love rocky road ice cream. I'm an introvert, so I tend to be quiet and avoid social events (other than dog friendly events π).
