🐾 Pet Stylist Assistant
At Fluffy Puppy, we’re passionate about helping pets look and feel their best! Our salon provides top-quality grooming services in a fun, safe, and caring environment. We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Pet Stylist Assistant to join our grooming team.
Position Overview
The Pet Stylist Assistant supports groomers by preparing pets for grooming and ensuring the salon operates smoothly. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who loves animals and is interested in pursuing a career in pet grooming.
Responsibilities
• Bathe and dry dogs and cats before styling
• Brush, detangle, and prep pet coats for cutting
• Safely handle pets of all sizes and temperaments
• Clean grooming stations, tubs, and tools
• Assist groomers with lifting, restraining, or task setup
• Maintain a calm, professional environment for pets and clients
• Support front desk with check-ins, scheduling, and client communication as needed
Qualifications
• Genuine love and compassion for animals
• Experience working with pets (professional or personal) preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to hygiene and safety standards
• Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
