The Greenup County Animal shelter is closed Monday January 19th in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will be open for regular hours on Tuesday the 20th.

He will be on stray hold in our puppy room until Tuesday, January 20th.

Once again, the shelter is at maximum capacity and can not accept any dogs at this time. Furthermore, our adoption fee has been reduced again to $10.

‼️Lost and Found‼️

This sweet girl was found near the Raceland Superquik. She seems to be well taken care of and has on a collar. She will be on stray hold here at the animal shelter until January 15th, 2026. She will at that point become available for adoption. We will update this post as needed if claimed or comes available for adoption.

The Animal Shelter will be closed Thursday and Friday, January 1st and 2nd for the new year holiday.
