We are experienced dog training company that offers variety of group training classes, as well as one on one training opportunities. Youngwood Top Dog Services is a dog training company with over 60 years of professional dog training experience. We offer an elite therapy dog school as well as a service dog program. We offer 1-1 training at your home or at a private room at our training facility. W

e offer Drop off Appointments where you drop your dog with a Top Dog trainer and let us apply the training needed most. We offer group classes at two separate locations including: Puppy classes, Group level 1 class, Advanced Level 2, Advanced Level 3, Outdoor Recall, Trail classes, , Intro Agility, Therapy dog preparation school, canine good citizen classes, AKC star puppy, Advanced Walking with Distractions, Nose Work, Felon Search, Search & Rescue, Tools class, Loose Leash Class, and many more! Training Prices start at $100 per session for local clients for private appointments.

Vendors are responsible for providing their own:

We’re looking for pet-related businesses, crafters, local businesses, food and treat vendors, boutiques, service providers, and other community vendors who would be a great fit for a day filled with dogs, families, swimming, music, shopping, and fun!

We couldn’t be more proud of this group! These dogs and their handlers continue to learn, excel, and exceed our expectations week after week! 👏🐶

Our AKC Urban training is all about taking obedience beyond the classroom and putting those skills to work in real-world, everyday environments — building confidence, focus, control, and teamwork along the way.

A huge congratulations to the newest graduate of our Group Level 1 Obedience class! We are incredibly proud of Bentley and his human, Christina! Your hard work and dedication was extremely prominent throughout the course. Bentley has had such great success through puppy class and Level 1. And I can't wait to see what they can do in Advanced Level 2!

What is blastomycosis?

Blastomycosis (“blasto”) is caused by Blastomyces fungi living in the environment. Dogs generally become infected by breathing microscopic fungal spores, rather than by drinking contaminated water or catching it from another dog.

The fungus favors moist soil and decomposing organic material, particularly around waterways. Dogs are disproportionately affected because their noses are close to the ground while sniffing, digging and exploring. Merck notes that many canine cases occur close to waterways.

Once inhaled, the infection usually begins in the lungs and can then disseminate elsewhere, including the skin, eyes, bones and other organs.

🐾❤️ 🤍💙Last week, our Working Dogs Westmoreland Therapy Dog Team had the privilege of visiting Hempfield Manor, where our incredible dogs brought countless smiles, comfort, and joy to both the residents and staff.

There’s nothing quite like watching the special bond between a Therapy Dog and someone who needs a little extra encouragement. These visits truly make a difference, not only in the lives of those we visit, but in the lives of our volunteer handlers as well.

Our next Therapy Dog School begins Saturday, August 22 at Westmoreland Mall, and we’d love to help you get started!

The first step is scheduling a Temperament Test & Obedience Evaluation to see if your dog is a good candidate for Therapy Dog work.
