Luca had an amazing day during her Train & Stay program with Top Dog Services!

Today Luca worked on:

One of Luca's biggest accomplishments today was learning how to remain calm and focused around both people and other dogs. She practiced settling near our Service Dog teams, worked through distractions, and learned that being calm and patient is just as rewarding as being active.

Our Train & Stay Program is designed to give your dog real-world experience while building the skills every dog needs to be successful at home and in public. Instead of simply practicing commands in a classroom, we take dogs out into the community where they learn to apply those skills around real-life distractions.

🎉 Congratulations to Our Most Recent AKC Urban Canine Good Citizen (Advanced CGC) Graduates! 🎉

Despite the rain, these dedicated teams showed up, worked hard, and absolutely crushed their final test! Over the past six weeks, both dogs and handlers have demonstrated tremendous growth, commitment, and teamwork.

The AKC Urban CGC is designed to test a dog’s ability to remain well-mannered, confident, and under control in real-world urban environments. These teams proved they have what it takes!

We are incredibly proud of each dog and parent for their hard work and dedication. Congratulations on a job well done! 🐾

🌟 Service Dog Spotlight: Freya 🌟

We are incredibly proud of the progress that Freya and her handler have made so far on their Service Dog journey!

Freya has been working hard on public exposure and environmental desensitization, learning to remain calm and confident in a variety of situations. She has been training both individually and alongside other Service Dog teams, helping her develop the skills needed to work successfully around distractions.

She has also been introduced to the Place command and is doing an outstanding job! One of Freya’s strongest skills is her beautiful heel work, which she performs with confidence and focus.

While Freya is learning her Service Dog skills, her mom has also been putting in the work by learning the ADA laws and understanding the federal protections that apply to Service Dog teams. A successful Service Dog team requires training on both ends of the leash!

We are excited to continue alongside Freya and her handler as they progress through our Service Dog Training Program.

Looking for a fun and productive way to work with your dog? Come join us tonight at 6:00 PM or 6:30 PM for our Top Dog Trail Walk Socialization Class!

This class is designed to help dogs build confidence and learn to remain calm and neutral around:✅ Other dogs✅ New people and strangers✅ Everyday sights, sounds, and distractions

Our trainers will also teach valuable engagement training techniques that help keep your dog's focus on YOU rather than everything happening around them.

Whether you have a young puppy, an adult dog needing more socialization, or a dog that gets distracted easily, this class is a great opportunity to practice in a real-world environment while working at your dog's comfortable threshold.

🐾🎉 Congratulations to Our Nose Work Graduates! 🎉🐾

We are so proud of our most recent graduates of our Nose Work Class! These pups and their handlers worked incredibly hard over the past five weeks and learned the exciting art of odor indication and scent detection. 👃🐶

Nose Work offers many benefits, including:

✅ Builds confidence in shy or nervous dogs
✅ Provides excellent mental stimulation and enrichment
✅ Strengthens the bond between dog and handler
✅ Encourages focus and problem-solving skills

🐾☀️ What an amazing week at Kids Camp! ☀️🐾

Our campers had a blast learning, creating, and making memories all week long!

Each day started with dog training lessons, where the kids reviewed training commands, handling skills, and fun training exercises to help build their knowledge and confidence around dogs.

We also worked on a special project each day:

🎨 Day 1: The kids designed a brand-new logo for their Youth Team T-shirts, putting their creativity and teamwork on full display!

🦮 Day 2: Campers created their own “perfect” Service Dog, choosing everything from the breed to the specific medical tasks their dog would perform to help a handler. It was incredible to see their imagination and understanding of working dogs come to life!

🍕🏊 Camp Finale: We wrapped up the week with a pizza party and pool party at the Hampton Inn. A huge thank you to our wonderful friends there for allowing the kids to enjoy some supervised swimming and celebrate a great week together!

This camp was a fantastic experience filled with learning, friendship, and plenty of dog-themed fun. We are so grateful to all of the parents who entrusted us with their children and helped make this week such a success.

A very special thank you goes out to our Youth Team Leaders and Trainers, Nicole and Kristin, for all of their hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm throughout the week. The kids had an incredible time because of your efforts!

We can’t wait to see everyone at our next Youth Team event! 🐾❤️

🎓🐾 Congratulations to Our Outdoor Obedience Class Graduates! 🐾🎓

A huge congratulations to our most recent graduates of Top Dog Services’ Outdoor Obedience Class!

This unique class continuously challenged both dogs and handlers throughout the five-week program, helping teams build stronger communication, focus, and attention while learning valuable obedience skills in a real-world outdoor environment.

We are incredibly proud of each of these teams for their hard work, dedication, and success. Watching their progress over the past five weeks has been amazing!

🐾☀️ Top Dog Summer Kid’s Camp officially kicked off yesterday at the mall! ☀️🐾

Our campers started the day with a fun refresher on dog training skills and learning how to better communicate with their canine companions. After a lunch and snack break, the creativity really started flowing as the kids worked on designing a brand-new logo for the Top Dog Youth Team! 🎨🐶

A huge thank you to our Youth Class Leaders, Nicole and Kristin, who did an amazing job leading the camp and helping make the day both educational and fun for everyone involved! ❤️

The campers showed great enthusiasm, creativity, and teamwork throughout the day, and we couldn’t be more proud of them.

We have some exciting surprises planned for today’s camp activities, and we can’t wait to share more of the fun with all of you!

This week we are excited to introduce our incredible Golden Doodle Service Dog, Harper! 🐶💙

At 4 years old, Harper is always ready for her next adventure. Whether she’s competing in Fast CAT, Bunny Dash, Agility, Dock Diving, Rodeo Dog, or Barn Hunt, Harper loves staying active and showing off her amazing talents!

When she’s not working or participating in her favorite sports, Harper’s favorite treat is a delicious pup cup. 🧁🐾

One of the things that makes Harper extra special is that she works alongside her sister Lainey as part of a remarkable tandem Service Dog team. Together, they make an incredible pair, supporting their handler with dedication, teamwork, and unwavering loyalty every day. 💙🐕🐕

Harper’s friendly personality, strong work ethic, and love for people make her a wonderful ambassador for the Working Dogs Westmoreland Service Dog Team. She brings smiles wherever she goes and reminds us all of the amazing bond between handlers and their Service Dogs.

We are so proud to have Harper representing Working Dogs Westmoreland and helping spread smiles one person at a time! 🐾✨
