Last year, through the Border Terrier Club of America, Robbie earned his Feild Sporting Certificate. As well as a certificate that had not been awarded in 24 years, the Feild Game Certificate. This made him the first Border Terrier to hold both BTCA hunting certificates.
I am very excited to announce I’ve received word from the club that Robbie has officially earned his Working Certificate through the Border Terrier Club of America!

Robbie is now the very first Border Terrier to hold all three Certificates since the program’s inception in 2001. To say I’m proud is an understatement.

A heartfelt thank to you to Lou Ann & Joan of Steel Ridge for entrusting me with such a wonderful dog.

Since his AKC show career is coming to a close I had to make sure to buy the photos for my mems. He’s one Best Of Breed Owner Handled win (5 points) away from retirement (NOHS Silver).

Ronnie really kicked it up a notch today. He said it was payment back for ripping Danielle’s french drains out at home 😆

It was a very long day but it was a great day! We won’t be back to the cluster until Robbie & Wendy show on Sunday. Sunday will be the last show that Robbie and Wendy are in the ring together until Wendy finishes as she’s starting to go over him and I don’t want to point her off of one dog. Little Miss Wendy is competitive, I need to do right by her, and let her compete against a variety of Border Terriers to prove herself.

I’m so happy we got the girls out for a bit without the boys. They are outstanding dogs. RZA absolutely can stand on her own out of her brothers shadow. It’s very hard in Guardian dogs with such clear dimorphism between male and female for a bitch to outshine a dog even when she is the better dog.

We were super lucky and a NoseWork trial was held in conjunction with the show. So Hank got to do his sniffy thing.

We started out this week with a couple shows and little miss Wendy went Best of Breed & Robbie took an Owner Handled Terrier Group 2. We ended the week with Robbie earning another leg towards his Master EarthDog title & Wendy earning her very first Q at her very first EarthDog trial on the Novice course.

Robbie and Fiona’s squish trio of roly-poly puppies! Five weeks old and growing like weeds.

We are so excited that one the little girls is going to Pittsburgh to be a beloved pet and fierce ratter of a friend of ours! So nice to have a Robbie baby this close.
