HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to BRAVE the elements this weekend. We had our share of problems but overall, those who stayed had a great time. I do ask everyone to keep in mind that this is a new venue and we are very spoiled by heated turfed indoors. We did OUR VERY BEST to make the footing better. We did not predict a artic blast and our dirt to be delivered frozen. We worked tirelessly all day Friday AND Saturday morning to fix the problem. There were many posts about the footing. I APPRECIATE all those who in addition to posting about the footing, posted about how we worked very hard to fix it! Just posting how bad it was without giving any explanation as to what happened is very hurtful to those running the trial. We did our very best! And we learned so much.
For those that stayed through the frigid temps, we truly hope you had a wonderful time playing with us!
IMPROVEMENTS TO COME EVERYONE! Lots of improvements for the spring to improve our flooring, barn and equipment. It takes time to build up a new place. Please be patient and gracious when posting about new clubs and venues. I can remember 15 years ago running our first AKC and USDAA trials in mud or sub standard equipment but were thrilled to have a place to run! Please be supportive of the "little guys". In a few years we will have a beautiful turf venue with brand new equipment and in a climate controlled environment. So please don't "bash" without explanation.
Sorry, getting off my soap box now!
