April is National Heartworm Awareness Month! This month is to educate our clients on what heartworms are and the importance of heartworm prevention. Heartworm prevention plays a vital role in keeping our pets healthy. With climate change, there has been an influx in cases of heartworm disease in areas that used to not be affected as badly. While heartworm disease is treatable for dogs, there is not currently a treatment protocol for cats. This disease can cause chronic lung issues, heart failure, and even death if it is not treated properly. She hasn’t forgotten why she went to veterinary school and the love for her work shows in everything she does. Her staff are simply following the exemplary example of her leadership. The office is beautiful with an impressive fish tank on display. While waiting, help yourself to hot coffee or tea in the Keurig. Prices are the best I have seen and service is even better!
