UPDATE: Thank you everyone who responded. Great news: we have a TGRR volunteer who is going to transport Milo tomorrow and we have a foster home for him! Milo will be in a home for the holidays.

ATTENTION APPROVED TGRR FOSTERS AND APPROVED ADOPTERS: CAN YOU HELP THIS BOY?? WE NEED A BIT OF A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!!

We have an urgent request for Milo, a Goldendoodle who we have taken in and he needs emergency surgery on his front left leg. He is having the surgery tomorrow in Cornelius, about 1.5 hours from Greensboro. We need someone who might be willing to foster him starting Christmas Eve! He will be quiet and need meds after his surgery. He won't need a sling and will be able to make it outside for potty breaks.
If you can't foster, would you be willing to provide transport from Cornelius to Greensboro after his surgery. The vet hospital closes Christmas Eve and he can't stay overnight.
If you can do either of these things, please comment below and we will get in touch with you and provide all the details.

TGRR provided some of the "paws" for Pucks and Paws night with the Greensboro Gargoyles Hockey team and fans! Thank you for the invitation! Our fosters, Tucker and Dexter, had a great time. Purple is TGRR's signature color too, so we loved seeing that while our dogs got lots of cuddles and attention. Thanks to the fosters, alums, and volunteers who came out to support TGRR and the Gargoyles!!

Tucker is one of the dogs who will be at the Greensboro Gargoyles Pucks and Paws event tonight! TGRR will have several foster dogs there looking for forever homes.

Little Percy is quite the success story.
This little guy came to us from a hoarding situation, starving and suffering from a bad case of mange. With good veterinary care, good food, and lots of love he has turned into a thriving, handsome boy.
Of course, none of this came cheaply. This GivingTuesday we would ask for your support to cover vet bills, food bills, and other costs for dogs in need like Percy. Any amount you choose to give is very helpful.

Update.. this gorgeous boy is home for the holidays!
Emmett doesn't understand why nobody has come forward to give him a home yet. Emmett is a one year old Great Pyreneese mix, but he's small for a Pyr, at 70 pounds. And even though he's technically still a puppy, this boys main setting is "Chill." He loves to hang out outside on the porch, take slow walks and go on car rides. He gets along with other dogs. He's not been around kids or cats but his gentle demeanor seems to point toward those being potentially successful pairings.
