With the holiday shopping season just around the corner, don't forget to pick up a few things for our 2026 Hearts of Gold silent auction.
We need shoppers and bargain seekers to help us with one of our biggest fundraisers and to start collecting items for next year’s silent auction at our Hearts
of Gold Valentine’s Party that we hold annually at Starmount Forest Country Club. The proceeds of the silent auction help us to save more Goldens by paying for medical, training & other costs.
As the auction has grown, we have learned a few things about what sells well. We have found that new/unused items do best.
Things that typically do well are:
• themed baskets (i.e. wine & cheese, dog toys/treats, spa pampering, coffee & cookies,
lottery tickets, Golden specific items, or create your own theme)
• small appliances
• craft/art supplies or hobby items
• limited edition or signed framed Golden prints
• gift certificates (pet store, dog training, restaurants, event tickets, etc)
• home decor items
• dog-themed Christmas ornaments
• basically anything you think a Golden lover might want or need -- tubs, grooming supplies, vacuums 😂
Whenever you’re out shopping - check out those closeout bins & sale sections for dog-related
items or dog-themed decor that catches your eye.
We will also need basket-filling supplies such as baskets, tissue paper, ribbons, and cellophane wrapping.
We will post closer to the date where we can collect your items.
