Happy International Dog Day!
This day is dedicated to honoring all dogs, promoting adoptions, and recognizing working dogs like police, military, and service animals. This is a day we can all get behind. We hope you celebrate this day with your dog or maybe even add a new rescue dog to your family!

What is a foster and why do we need them so badly? A foster provides a TEMPORARY home for a dog. The foster's job is to get to know them so we can pair them with an Adopter off of our wait-list. We can't make the perfect furever match without knowing the dog first, especially when we have dogs with medical or behavior issues. Fosters are the backbone of our organization and they literally save lives when we pull a dog from the shelter or get a stray that we have no history on.
Fosters are heroes!
Fostering is one of the most rewarding jobs you'll ever have!
Please consider fostering for TGRR to help us carry on our mission! You'll need to have a fenced in yard and be able to transport your dog to and from vet visits in Greensboro as needed. (Sorry, we can't have fosters with kids under five.) We pay for vet care and provide food, supplies and support. Apply to foster at tgrr.org/foster. Thank you! This approximately two-year-old boy was found on the southside of Asheboro. He is intact and has no microchip. He is safe at our vet, and we would love to find his family!
