The Greensboro Science Center is a premier family destination in North Carolina offering multiple attractions in one destination: a science museum with exhibits focused on dinosaurs, reptiles, amphibians and extreme weather; a zoo, home to animals such as red pandas, gibbons, tigers, meerkats and maned wolves; an aquarium, which features sharks, penguins, stingrays, otters, fishing cats, a variety

of fishes and more; and the state-of-the-art OmniSphere Theater, featuring 3D and full-dome shows. Hours: 9 am to 5 pm (Zoo closes at 4 pm seasonally)

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate World Ocean Day with us! We loved seeing guests of all ages dive into ocean crafts, trivia, and conservation conversations throughout the day.

A special thank you to our sponsor, Wet 'n Wild Emerald Pointe, and our community partners for helping make the event so meaningful. From the Bubbles, not Balloons station to our penguin paintings, your support brought the ocean to life in Greensboro.

We will NOT have our STARRY SAFARI scope viewing tonight. With a forecast for a cloudy evening, we’ll hope for better luck on Friday the 13th, our next scheduled stargazing event! Maybe then we can get a glimpse of galaxies like the Pinwheel, captured at last Friday’s viewing.

Our annual Florida Keys conservation trip is underway, and our team is already getting their hands dirty (and soggy!) for a great cause. They spent time volunteering at the Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center, helping recycle 8 bags of monofilament line and crafting enrichment for the sanctuary’s resident birds.

Huge thanks to Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center for the meaningful work they do — and for letting us be a small part of it!
