Shy dogs are so often overlooked. When they first meet you, they may not be the ones jumping up, wagging their tails, or immediately asking for affection. And that’s okay. Sometimes, the most beautiful connections just take a little more time.

Arlo has been with us for 142 days, and as you can see, his personality is slowly blossoming. With patience, consistency, and a little love, we’re watching him learn to trust, find his confidence, and let his sweet personality shine.

Arlo, along with some of our other dogs, may not crawl into your lap on the first meeting or immediately beg for your attention. But give them time. Give them a chance. Because when that trust finally comes, when they choose to lean into you, seek you out, and show you just how much they love you, there is nothing quite like it.

Sometimes the best things in life are worth waiting for. And shy dogs are worth waiting for, too. ❤️

HUCKLEBERRY HAS FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME!

Congratulations to our handsome Huckleberry on his adoption! We couldn’t be happier to see this sweet boy starting his next chapter surrounded by love. We are so excited for all the adventures, memories, and happy days ahead!

Check out these two handsome fellows! Introducing Zeamiah & Zealand!

These two handsome boys are a bonded pair who were surrendered to us last week, and let’s just say… they’re bringing ALL the husky energy! Sleek, stunning, and sweet as can be, this dynamic duo is one beautiful sight to see.

Like any good huskies, they’ve got big personalities, plenty of opinions, and a little work to do when it comes to their manners. But with a little patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, these boys have so much potential!

One thing’s for sure: life with Zeamiah and Zealand will never be boring.

Two huskies, one home, and approximately 47 different conversations happening at once. 😂

CONGRATULATIONS TO SWEET MISS LUCY ON HER ADOPTION!

Sometimes, the best love stories start right here at the shelter! Lucy managed to steal the heart of one of our amazing volunteers, and we couldn’t be happier that she’s found her forever home with someone who already means so much to Hudson Paws!

A huge thank you to Sarah for the time, love, and dedication she gives to our rescue and our wonderful dogs. Your support as a volunteer makes such a difference in their lives, and now you’ve made the biggest difference of all for Lucy by giving her a family of her very own!

There is something so special about watching our volunteers fall in love with the very dogs they’ve helped care for. Lucy, you are so loved, sweet girl, and we couldn’t be happier for you! Here’s to a lifetime of cuddles, happiness, and endless love in your forever home!

3 PUPS LEFT… 3 HEARTS WAITING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOMES!

Out of the 17 puppies who joined us on our last transport, only three are still waiting for their happily ever after: Cortado, Huckleberry, and Dante!
