Memorial Day on the farm.

Thankful for the men and women who gave everything so families like ours can wake up to quiet mornings, raise kids in freedom, work the land, and enjoy simple moments that matter most. And a time to remember those generations who came before us on the farm.

From sunrise over the pasture… to little hands planting tomatoes… to girls growing up around good cattle and open skies — none of it is guaranteed.

Today we remember the cost of that freedom. 🇺🇸🐄

Most people don’t think about where their beef comes from.

We do. Every single day.

Because right here—
these calves are born on this farm…
raised on this grass…
and stay right here until they’re ready.

No trucks. No middlemen. No guessing.

Just a family, doing it the way it’s been done for generations.

And if you listen close…
you can still hear it.

The sound of cattle on fresh grass.
The sound of a farm that’s still working.

Ready for hay season.

Nothing like fresh cut hay, warm air, and a field that finally looks like summer.

You can feel it coming.

They don’t stay little long.

One day they’re figuring out how to stand…
Next thing you know, they’re running circles around their mamas.

This time of year, the barn doesn’t sleep much.
Boots stay muddy. Nights get shorter.
But there’s nothing better than walking out and seeing a new calf on the ground.

It’s a reminder—
growth doesn’t happen all at once…
it happens in small, wobbly steps.

And around here, that’s enough.

“Most people have never heard this before.”

No traffic.
No notifications.
No background noise.

Just grass moving,
and cows doing their thing.

It’s quiet in a way that’s hard to explain—
until you stand in the middle of it.

This is what spring actually sounds like out here.

Most people are just waking up…
this is what we’re already doing.

No filter on this part.

Boots on.
Fence to fix.
Cows waiting.

You find everything in a fence line—
rocks, junk, sometimes things you wish you hadn’t.

But if you don’t stay on it, it doesn’t take long before it shows.

What’s the worst thing you’ve run into fixing fence?

Fences will tell you everything if you walk ‘em. And some stories city people just won’t believe.

Dead deer caught up where it shouldn’t be.
Rocks big enough to ruin your day.
Little trees growin right in the wire like they own the place.

You head out to “fix a fence”… and it’s never just that.

Not the pretty part of farming—
but it’s the part that keeps everything else working.
