🐾 Meet Dr. Jacob Bills! 🐾

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Jacob Bills to our veterinary team!

Growing up, Dr. Bills was active in 4-H and FFA, showing beef steers, dairy cattle, and market chickens. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Findlay before pursuing veterinary school at Ohio State.

Dr. Bills and his wife, Bailey, who is also a veterinarian, share their home with two cats, Theo and Sushi. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring local breweries.

🐾 You may have already seen a new friendly face around the clinic, and we’re excited to officially introduce Alyssa, our newest Veterinary Assistant! 🩺

Alyssa is currently enrolled in Sinclair Community College’s Veterinary Technology program and is set to graduate in May 2027 as a Veterinary Technician. Her passion for animal care started early — she began volunteering at horse rescues when she was just 7 years old!

Originally from West Chester, Alyssa moved to the area about 4 years ago with her husband, Zach. Together they share their home (and barn!) with two horses, Hughie and Stonie, two dogs, Sunnie and Diamond, and a few barn kitties as well. 🐴🐶🐱

When she’s not at the clinic or studying, Alyssa enjoys trail riding, gardening, and spending time outdoors.

We’re so happy to have Alyssa on our team and know many of you and your pets will enjoy getting to know her! Be sure to say hello when you see her around the clinic! 💙

Her educational journey began at Ohio State ATI before continuing her studies on the Columbus campus, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Biosciences.

Dr. Emily has a passion for both small and large animal medicine and surgery, with special interests in bovine and small ruminant reproduction and commercial production consultations.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her significant other, Ethan, on his family’s farm, where they operate a small dairy herd and hay farm. They also share their home with an Australian cattle dog named Blue and a cat named Smokey. 🐶🐱

We are excited to have Dr. Emily join our team and know our clients and patients will love getting to know her!

Heartworm disease is a serious—and potentially fatal—condition that affects dogs and cats, and it’s much more common than many people realize 🦟

Heartworms are spread through mosquito bites, meaning even indoor pets are at risk. Once infected, these worms live in the heart and lungs, causing damage that can lead to coughing, fatigue, breathing difficulty, and even heart failure.

The good news? Heartworm disease is almost entirely preventable. Monthly preventatives are safe, affordable, and far easier than treating an active infection—which can be costly and risky.

Protect your pet year-round by staying consistent with heartworm prevention and annual testing. If you’re unsure which option is best for your pet, we’re here to help!

Keep those tails wagging and hearts healthy ❤️🐾

As the weather warms up, fleas and ticks are back in full force—and they’re more than just a nuisance 🐾

These tiny pests can carry serious diseases that affect both pets and people, including Lyme disease, tapeworms, and skin infections. Even indoor pets aren’t completely safe, as fleas and ticks can hitch a ride inside on clothing or other animals.

The good news? Prevention is simple and effective! Keeping your pet on a year-round flea and tick preventative helps protect them from discomfort, illness, and infestations before they start.

Not sure which product is best for your pet? Our team is happy to help you choose a safe and effective option tailored to their needs.

Let’s keep your pets happy, healthy, and itch-free this season! 🌿🐶🐱
