What if your dog could be ā€œboarded" without ever leaving home?

That’s exactly what my house sitting service is! Your dog stays home, keeps their routine, and gets lots of care, love, and attention they’re used to without the chaos of a boarding facility.

Every stay is tailored to your dog's routine and needs.šŸ’™

Indy Game Day Weekend? Don’t Bench Your Pup! šŸ€šŸ’

In town for NCAA March Madness or catching some NHL action this spring?

Bring your pup along for the trip and I’ll take over from there. While you’re cheering and soaking up the game day energy, your dog will be getting plenty of attention and care from me right where you’re staying.

No rushing out early. Just game day done right. You handle the hype. I’ve got your pup covered.

Enrichment Tip of The Week🐾

We’re loving the Woof Pupsicle for daily mental stimulation at our house. Enrichment is so important for dogs. It helps reduce boredom, prevent unwanted behaviors, and support a calmer, happier pup.

We fill our silicone molds with no-sugar added applesauce or non-fat Greek yogurt with fresh blueberries and a drizzle of organic honey, then freeze for a few hours or overnight.

What’s your pup’s favorite enrichment activity?

You know what IVDD is, now let’s talk about the signs.

Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) can progress quickly, and sometimes the early signs are easy to miss. But catching those small changes early can make a life-changing difference for your dog.

You might first notice something subtle like your dog hesitates before jumping on the couch, avoids the stairs, or just seems a little stiff or uncomfortable. Some dogs may tremble, become less active, or even cry out when being picked up.

As the condition progresses, the signs can become more serious. You could see unsteady or wobbly walking, dragging of the back legs, or trouble with coordination. In more severe cases, dogs may lose control of their bladder or bowels completely and not know it.

If you notice anything that feels ā€œoff,ā€ trust your instincts and contact your veterinarian right away. The first 24 hours are critical, and early treatment can significantly improve outcomes.

At Teeny We**ie Dog Care, we keep a close eye on these signs, especially in long-bodied pups who are more at risk.

No dog owner expects their dog to wake up unable to walk, but IVDD can make that a reality.

Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) is a spinal condition that occurs when the discs between a dog’s vertebrae bulge or rupture and press on the spinal cord. This pressure can lead to pain, difficulty walking, neurological problems, and in severe cases, paralysis. IVDD is especially common in long-backed breeds like the Dachshund, but dogs of any breed can be affected.

Things to watch out for include sudden changes in mobility, reluctance to jump, back pain, wobbling, or dragging legs. If you notice these signs, contact your veterinarian immediately. The first 24 hours can be critical for diagnosis and treatment outcomes.

Your Friday Dose of Cuteness! 🐾

Here are a few of the adorable pups I’ve recently had the pleasure of working with. I love meeting new dogs and their parents, learning their routines, and discovering what makes each pup happiest.
