🐾 Kitten Season Is Here — Estherville Animal Shelter Needs Your Help! 🐾

Kitten season is in full swing, and our shelter is caring for an increasing number of kittens in need of food, medical care, and daily support. As our population grows, so does our need for supplies.

We are currently in urgent need of:
🐱 Wet kitten food
🐱 Dry kitten food
💲 Monetary donations to help cover veterinary care, medications, and other essential expenses

Every donation, no matter the size, helps us provide these vulnerable kittens with the care they need until they find loving forever homes.

Donations can be dropped off at the shelter (7days a week between 10am-2pm) or made through our donation channels. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this post helps us reach more animal lovers in our community.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Walter J Gurren JR, beloved husband of our shelter president Muriel Gurren and long time financial secretary on the shelters board. As a family-run shelter, this loss is deeply personal to all of us, and our entire shelter family is grieving during this incredibly difficult time.

Please note that the shelter may have reduced hours and limited availability over the next several days as we take time to support one another. We kindly ask for patience and understanding during this time.

For those asking how to help, donations toward the care of the animals are always deeply appreciated and help ensure the shelter can continue operating while our team navigates this loss.

🌸🐾 Happy Mother’s Day! 🐾🌸

Today we celebrate all the amazing moms — human, animal, foster, adoptive, pet moms, and every loving heart that cares for another. Thank you for the compassion, patience, and unconditional love you give every single day. 💕

From all of us at the shelter (and the wagging tails and tiny paws too), we wish you a day filled with love, laughter, and cuddles. 🐶🐱

Please note that the shelter will be CLOSED today so our staff and volunteers can spend time with their families and loved ones. We will reopen during normal business hours tomorrow.
