Our Story
The dog training can take from 6 to 24 months. Assigning the trained dog to their human partner is a process of learning for the new partner. When the selection is made, the dog and their new person work together at our training center to transition the skills and handling necessary to create a great team. The service dog will spend their life as the best friend of their person, and the person will spend this dogs life in a life altering partnership that creates an unbreakable bond between the two.
MISSION: CrittersWork Service Dog Partners, Inc. provides highly skilled service dogs to form partnerships that enhance the quality of life, independence and self-sufficiency for people with physical and/or emotional limitations, while advocating for the use and acceptance of service dogs through public and professional education, in support of the service dog industry.
PROCESS: Our training process can be from six to 24 months before the dog is ready to be assigned to their partner. During the training, there are many trips out to the community to work with the dogs socialization skills.
