Man, I'm so proud of this girl. Just 6-7 days ago it was taking me 20+ minutes (and every ounce of my patience) to get one drop in each eye. Today, under 90 seconds. No fuss, no stress. A little cooperative care for the win. Way to go, Maggie! ❤️🐾

🐾I'm getting a LOT of interest/messages on my board and train program.. so here's some information on that🐾

To give dogs the best chance of long-term success, my Board & Train program requires a minimum stay of 10 days and up to 15 days (that looks like 5 days with me, home on the weekend/2 days, back with me for 5). This allows enough time for your dog to learn new skills, practice them in a variety of situations, and build reliable habits that can transfer back into your home environment.

Because training is most successful when there is a foundation already in place, I also require that I have worked with both the dog and owner prior to enrollment through either a group class or a private lesson. This gives me the opportunity to evaluate your dog's needs, understand your training goals, and ensure that a Board & Train program is the right fit.

Board & Train is not a substitute for owner involvement—it's a jump-start to the training process. By working together before and after the program, we can create a training plan that is consistent, effective, and tailored to your dog's individual needs.

Y'all know the dog from the movie "UP" named Dug?
Meet Maggie- Dug's long list sister. 🤪

Behind on posting. 😵‍💫
Monday- we welcomed Maggie to a 14 day board and train! Maggie developed juvenile cataracts and has lost a significant portion of her vision. But her family had a trip scheduled and didn't want to have to board her. Luckily, I'm like her 3rd favorite person (after mom and dad of course). She'll be having eye surgery soon to hopefully correct the issue, so in the meantime she's here working with me on Leash walking and calmer eye drop administration 🥰.

I get it....
You are busy....
Bad weather, sickness, and life happens and it is okay to take a day off of training. But, YOU are the only thing that can improve your relationship with your dog.

I've had a stomach bug going on 4 days now- but the training doesnt stop when you have animals to take care of and train. Every day.
Trainers can teach your dog better habits, obedience commands, and give you advice on what will work to help you do that, but at the end of the day, its YOU who is responsible for your dogs success.

Day 3 of training with this cutie- "yo-yo come"

Major may be the sassiest back-talking poodle I've ever met 😂 and I'm so excited to have him the next 14 days😬🥰
His family has done a great job with his basic skills- he already knows how to sit, down, place... when he wants to. So I'm just going to sharpen up his obedience with distractions, teach him not to jump on EVERY single thing he sees and work on reactivity around other dogs while his family enjoys a much deserved vacation.
Thanks for trusting me with your boy!
