I don't usually do this but our shop ferret Kit broke his leg. The vet is recommending amputation because the type and severity of the break is not a good candidate for a splint or surgical reconstruction. They say he will adjust very well and it'll give him the best quality of life. We're still recovering from other financial stresses. I know it's a tough time for many, but any donations or shares would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

On Tuesday our shop cat, Archie, was very lethargic and didn't want to eat or drink. We took him to the emergency vet where he was hospitalized. His potassium was through the roof, his kidney values were very high, his heartbeat was so slow they were afraid of cardiac arrest, and on X-rays they found one kidney significantly smaller than the other. Yesterday, his abdomen started filling with fluid and even after aggressive treatment his values were going up. They did an ultrasound and he had kidney stones in both kidneys and one had lodged in his ureter. Unfortunately he was not a good candidate for surgery because of how poorly his kidneys were doing and we had to say goodbye to our boy. Thank you to everyone who loved him and made him part of the family. He loved everyone and loved all the love. He is and will be missed so much.

Hey, everybody! Long time no post! We have a new guest in the salon. This is Kuemper. She is a one and a half year old spayed female looking for a forever home. She is very food motivated, loves comfy beds, and loves snuggles. She is a little shy until you get to know her but is very sweet. Just message or text me if you or anyone you know are interested!

Hey, everyone! It is officially the holiday season! Right now I am booking December 14th as my earliest appointment so if we need to get the puppers in before the years end let me know!

05/04/2020

I am now officially open for business again! I am booking up the end of May as my soonest appointments, though. Some new rules were implemented as of opening as well. We will have the door locked to the salon so when you come for your appointment, just give me a call and I will come out and grab the pups. Same with pickup. I am also offering online payments to minimize handling cash or checks. When you pick up I'll get your email (or it can be texted to me) and I will send you an invoice which will have a link to pay.
I am so excited to be back to work but I still want to make it as safe for everyone as possible! Thank you for your cooperation!

It is official now. As of 8:00 this morning we are required to be closed through the 11th. I'm still tentatively booking appointments for after that but I can make no guarantees because they could extend the order causing me to be closed for longer. I will keep you all updated as I receive more information!

03/25/2020

I wanted to keep everyone updated. I received an email from the Department of Agriculture on Tuesday giving us the green light to stay open as a non-critical essential business as long as we follow the social distancing rules put forth by the state. I don't know how that changes now after the stay at home order. Until I have more information, I am planning on continuing with my scheduled appointments with some changes. At drop off and pick up I will come out to the car and payments will be made online. I will send an invoice to your email as soon as they are done with a link to the secure billing.
I am leaving it open to people on whether or not they still want to come. I know they are talking of citing people so if people want to reschedule I more than understand. The health and well-being of my customers is more important. I will also update you as soon as I have more information.

03/18/2020

In response to the new CDC recommendations, while I will remain open and accepting appointments, I ask that only one person comes to drop off and pick up the appointment. I would also like to reiterate that if you are feeling sick or you suspect you've come into contact with anyone who might have it that you stay home and we can reschedule your appointment in order to protect other customers. I would rather everyone stay safe and healthy.

03/13/2020

A quick announcement- due to the current climate, I would just like to remind everyone that if you are feeling sick to please stay home. I know puppers need their hairdos but they are currently testing to see if COVID-19 affects ferrets. Ferrets are zoonotic and can get both colds and flus so the effects of COVID-19 is unknown on them. For the safety of other customers and the ferrets, please stay home if you are exhibiting any symptoms or think you have been exposed. Unfortunately the ferrets are also off limits to petting until further notice. Thank you!
