🚨🐾 GWINNETT COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER IS OVERFLOWING — OUR COMMUNITY NEEDS TO STEP UP NOW! 🐾🚨
💔 18 PAGES OF ADOPTABLE ANIMALS. EIGHTEEN. PAGES. 💔
This morning, Mavroudis Poodle Rescue Inc. went through ALL 18 PAGES of adoptable pets at Gwinnett County Animal Shelter, and what we saw absolutely BROKE OUR HEARTS.
Among the countless precious faces waiting for someone to choose them, we saw:
🐾 4–5 Shih Tzus
🐾 2 small Poodle mixes
🐾 2 Miniature Schnauzers
🐾 A precious little Yorkie
🐾 A litter of approximately 5-week-old German Shepherd puppies
🐾 15+ Chiweenies ranging in age from puppies to seniors
🐾 And SO MANY beautiful, loving dogs of every breed, size, and age imaginable!
THESE ARE THE VERY BREEDS PEOPLE CONTACT RESCUES LOOKING FOR EVERY SINGLE DAY! AND THEY ARE SITTING RIGHT HERE IN OUR LOCAL COUNTY SHELTER! 😭
These animals didn't ask to be abandoned, surrendered, neglected, or forgotten. They didn't choose to end up behind kennel doors. And they certainly don't deserve to lose their lives simply because there isn't enough space.
💔 SHELTER OVERCROWDING IS A COMMUNITY CRISIS, AND IT REQUIRES A COMMUNITY SOLUTION!
We are BEGGING our neighbors, friends, families, fellow rescue organizations, and animal lovers to take action!
🏡 ADOPT! Visit Gwinnett County Animal Shelter or a reputable nonprofit rescue. Your new best friend may already be waiting for YOU!
🐶 FOSTER! Opening your home temporarily can make an enormous difference. Contact the shelter or a local nonprofit rescue to find out how you can help.
❤️ VOLUNTEER! Help walk, socialize, comfort, photograph, transport, and advocate for these deserving animals. Your time is just as valuable as a monetary donation!
💰 DONATE! Support your local shelters and nonprofit rescues. Food, medical supplies, preventatives, and financial donations help keep lifesaving efforts moving forward.
📢 SHARE! SHARE! SHARE! You may not be able to adopt another animal, but someone on your friends list might be searching for exactly the dog you help them discover!

We see the urgent pleas for foster homes and rescue commitments.
We see the countless hours spent photographing animals, answering questions, coordinating rescue pulls, arranging transportation, and fighting for animals who cannot speak for themselves.
We see the emotional exhaustion that comes with loving animals you desperately want to save but simply don't have the space or resources to help.
YOUR WORK DOES NOT GO UNNOTICED!
But you cannot do this alone. ❤️
Our community needs to stand BESIDE you, not simply scroll past another urgent post.
