After much thought and many heartfelt conversations, we’ve made the difficult decision to officially close the chapter on Back Roads Animal Rescue.
Back Roads was born from a simple belief—that every animal deserves a chance. Together, we rescued countless dogs, celebrated incredible happy endings, mourned heartbreaking losses, and built an amazing community of people who care deeply about animals. We could never adequately thank each of you for your support, whether you adopted, fostered, volunteered, donated, or simply shared our posts. You made this mission possible.
While Back Roads is coming to an end, our passion for helping animals is not.
We are excited to introduce Kentucky K-9 Collective, our new 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Kentucky Canine Collective
Our focus is evolving from traditional rescue to something we believe can have an even greater impact: preventing pets from entering shelters in the first place. Kentucky K-9 Collective will focus on expanding access to affordable spay/neuter services, helping families keep their pets during times of hardship, and partnering with our community to improve outcomes for both pets and the people who love them.
We hope you’ll continue this journey with us.
Please follow Kentucky K-9 Collective for updates, upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and ways to help us make a lasting difference in our community. This page will be deactivated in the coming months.
Thanks for the memories!!!
Founded by the team behind Back Roads Animal Rescue, KY K9 is building
on years of experience with a renewed focus on spay/neuter, rescue partnerships, and helping dogs and their families within our community and surrounding areas.
