A horse farm is more than fences and fields, barns and stalls.⁣

It’s early mornings before the rest of the world is awake. The sound of grain hitting a bucket, a familiar nicker from down the aisle, and horses waiting at the gate because they always know when you’re late.⁣

It’s muddy boots by the door, hay in places hay should not be, and the satisfaction of a freshly swept barn aisle.⁣

It’s fixing fences in the rain. Breaking ice in the winter. Carrying water when the hose freezes. Watching the sky a little more closely than most because weather isn’t just weather when animals depend on you.⁣

It teaches you that the work still needs to be done when you’re tired, when it’s cold, when plans change, and when no one is watching.⁣

But it gives back, too.⁣

It’s the quiet of a barn at night. The smell of fresh hay. Horses grazing on a summer evening. It’s watching an old one nap safely in the sun and a young one discover the world.⁣

A horse farm becomes a keeper of memories. First rides. Last rides. Horses that changed us. People who grew up there. Lessons learned the hard way and stories told so many times they become part of the place itself. It’s hearts broken, and dreams come true. ⁣It’s where all of our favorite stories are written.

Its so much more than a horse farm 💙💛

We are so excited for Megan Harmon, who will be moving her training/board program closer to her new home this fall. She and her students have been a wonderful addition to our farm and family and we will miss them all. We are so thankful for Megan's support with our own horses and look forward to continuing to work with her.

That said, for the *perfect* fit, we are open to another training/board situation and having another adult focused program join our farm.

If you are a dedicated and horse-first professional looking for a place like ours to call your home base, reach out to set up a time to tour and discuss.

Another successful outing at the outstanding LAR show for Shania Presby and Dio. While he's not quite grown into his legs and eyeballs and ears yet, he's getting the hang of this dressage business. Blues are nice, but even better is that this young man settled and did his job on his first ever one day show.

Thank you Cassi and crew for a very fun and well run show so close to home!

Fantastic 3 day USDF dressage show at Puckerbrush Farm in Newburgh Maine for 3 of the SDF Dressage crew. Kleo, Dio and Teddy settled in to an adorable shedrow, tucked into the trees on Friday and went on to:
* Receive high point registered horse all 3 days of the show, and additional qualifying scores for regionals (Kleo @ T1 & T3)
* Receive a new personal best, his first ever blue ribbon (×2!) and 2 qualifying scores for regionals (Dio @ T3)
* And National Pony Cup Reserve Champion with the most gorgeous ribbons ever seen on Saturday and Sunday (Ted 3)

All 3 horses loved the environment of this relaxed and incredibly well run show, just a short hike North on 95. Truly a hidden gem that we're kicking ourselves for not putting on the schedule in previous seasons - we will be going forward!

Our thanks to Bryn and her team for a wonderful weekend, Nicole for her outstanding training and prep for horses and riders, her and Griffin for holding down the fort at home, Matt B. for stepping in to coach at the show, and wonderful "horse show husbands" Alex, Matt W. and Tom who groomed, chauffered and carried all the heavy things all weekend.

Hi friends & neighbors! We are located at the intersection of Totten and Center Road and have a few new members of the herd who may not be comfortable with the sound of fireworks.

It is helpful for us to know when celebrations are being planned in the event that we have to sedate them to keep them safe. Horses can panic and injure themselves or break thru enclosures to escape the sound of fireworks. Sedating them (with vet supervision) is a safer alternative. It takes about 30 minutes for sedatives to take effect.

If anyone close by our farm has plans for firework celebrations over the 4th weekend, could you please let us know when so we can be prepared? These adorable little guys thank you in advance.

It's graduation time! With that and new beginnings for a dear friend & boarder, we have one stall available for board, June 1st!

We are only considering an experienced, dedicated working boarder who can commit to at least 2 weekend days per month in exchange for reduced board. We are very open to more hours to meet budget or interest.

We offer the very best in care and all of the amenities for our boarders here. We have a variety of in-house training opportunities - western dressage, horsemanship, dressage and beginner to advanced English or Western riding and also allow (insured/approved) outside trainers at no additional fee for boarders.

We are an adult focused program, with a vibrant community of adult amateurs at all levels - showing, clinics, gatherings and in general, a really cool vibe for those looking to connect, relax and enjoy every minute with their horse.

If you are interested in a tour and chat to ensure a mutual "perfect fit", please message the farm on Facebook or text Alicia @ 207.322.6282
