doing more road work today with jack, he's getting better and better but still a bit rough. no longer afraid of bridges like he was day one and crosses with ease. but he's thinking more and more with his belly so I think we may be getting him an over check soon!

took Jack out today for another drive, and had to 'Jerry-Rig' him up since I don't yet have the proper gear for him (but now that I know he's taken to it and will do well its time to drop money on it! ) even found him a high vis Vest that 'fit' him for extra safety! (the Velcro even worked hehe)

it has come to our attention (well we already knew but we're ready to face the facts now lol) that Jack has become a bit on the obese side as we've begun refeeding his older pasture mate..so its time for EXTRA exercise for both me and Jack. and hopefully plenty of pictures and video to accompany his progress. we're hoping and praying we won't have to keep him in a grazing muzzle if we can shed the weight through hard work and exercise.

Jack getting Saddle broke
we introduced him to the saddle first by laying it down and letting him investigate it, after he was sure it wasn't going to kill him we placed it on him, no halter, nor ropes, no restriction after he'd worn it for a while we placed a rope around his neck and lead him around a bit then removed it and the saddle introduced the blanket and then re-placed the saddle and let him run about with it like that for a while. all in all he did really well and only spooked twice (and one of them was my fault for dropping a stirrup )

Jack is such a good little pony stud, I can just let him out in the yard to graze with a single line 'fence' thrown together and he doesn't even try to wander off
