My husband is awesome! He cut fallen trees off the fence and repaired the fence so that this pasture was back in service. Luke misses the BIG field across the road but is happy to be near his girlfriend. Jitterbug has surprised us and has recovered somewhat from what we thought was the “end”. She will not be allowed back on thick grass but she seems to be doing well with senior feed and hay. We are on the search for a pasture mate for Luke so that he won't be lonely.

Phase 1 of prepping for Breeding Season. Moved all girls (including the Spring ewes) to the back pasture. Spring rams were separated from momma’s and will stay on their current pasture for a few days before we acclimate them to the ram pasture. Lots of stress on the boys - being separated from their mommas and then the natural herd hierarchy process which involves the rams showing off their ramming skills to see who the leader will be.

Jitterbug has dealt with chronic founder as she moves through her late 20's. She is ready to be back out in the pasture!
