Oscar is an Orphan Cat that I assumed responsibility for along with Coffee the dog. Both Coffee and Oscar belonged to Grandpa and Grandma but have been displaced as Grandpa passed and Grandma moved in with her daughter. Grandma could not bring Oscar with her and it ripped my heart out when she was crying as I put Oscar in the cat carrier. He is a love and good with other cats and dogs. Seems to be more of a people cat. He is on my lap now. He follows me around and is using his litter box. He is neutered and I will get him chipped and current on vaccines and viral screened before adoption. Please let me know if you have room at your house for Grandma’s cat! [email protected]. 🦴🐾URGENT FOSTERS OR ADOPTERS
NEEDED🐾🦴

My heart absolutely breaks for these girls.
We are urgently seeking fosters or adopters for a mother and daughter duo.

They DO NOT have to stay together, but if by some miracle we could find a home willing to take both, it would mean the world.
Right now, they are sitting at the shelter in Grass Valley. We are making arrangements to get down there and pick them up as soon as possible, but the truth is—we need help.

The person who had them has let them go and is no longer responding to us.

Once again, these dogs are left wondering where they belong.

These girls have already been through more than any dog should ever have to endure. They originally came from a hoarding case in Stockton and have spent their lives being passed from place to place, never really knowing stability, security, or what it feels like to truly be someone's forever dog.

Imagine finally starting to feel safe, finally feeling like you belong, only to end up back in a shelter again.

Our facility is completely full right now, and we simply do not have the space to bring them onto the property.

Even a temporary foster would make an enormous difference while we work on finding a permanent solution.

They deserve a soft place to land.
They deserve consistency.
They deserve love.
And most of all, they deserve a chance.

*GINKO (A913228)- ADOPT OR RESCUE - SPAYED female, Rottie mix, arrived at shelter 3-5-26. 2 yrs old - 58 lbs approx.

NEW VOLUNTEER NOTE: Ginko is my favorite dog at the shelter! I chose her to take out for Mother's Day. We (myself, my husband and son) picked her up at 9:00 am and walked around Land Park, grab some donuts and ended up having lunch at a brewery where she sat at our feet, chewing on a rawhide, while we ate our lunch. There was another dog nearby and she never even reacted. I have never witnessed 1 ounce of aggression and take her out 4 to 6 times a week.

VOLUNTEER NOTE: Ginko is an absolutely wonderful dog. I took her out for a doggy day. She rides beautifully in the car, mellow, and so loving.

💜 Gorgeous Ginko (A913228) is a 2 year old spayed red Rottweiler mix who arrived back in March with a litter of young pups. Her babies have all been adopted, but Ginko has been left behind, waiting month after month for her own chance at forever.
💜 Like the resilient Ginkgo tree, she has weathered a long, difficult season. After such an extended stay, Ginko has developed some barrier reactivity and a bit of stranger danger — Once she feels safe, her true nature unfolds: warm, playful, and eager for connection; however, she did once nip and break skin when approached by someone she wasn’t comfortable with.
💜 Volunteers say she loves splashing in kiddie pools, carrying around toys, and joining shelter playgroups. She started out unsure, but just like a Ginkgo leaf unfurling in spring, she has blossomed, and sometimes even becoming a little pushy in her enthusiasm.
💜 Ginko is ready to leave the shelter behind and settle into a stable, structured environment where patience, routine, and love will help her thrive!
💜 She’s a vibrant, loyal girl who just needs someone willing to look past the kennel door and give her the chance she’s been waiting for. Let Ginko finally grow roots in a home of her own — she’s ready for her fur-ever!

💜 Comes spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested and microchipped. Assistance with transport can often be arranged.
