Meet Rocky. My boy Sam's full brother just one year younger. Rocky came in looking hot and overstuffed. Now his coat is manageable, soft and full of character. Best if all his future is looking Dog Dandy!!

In light of all we see happening in our world, this to me is a comforting reminder:

Job 12 13-25

13 “But true wisdom and power are found in God;
counsel and understanding are his.
14 What he destroys cannot be rebuilt.
When he puts someone in prison, there is no escape.
15 If he holds back the rain, the earth becomes a desert.
If he releases the waters, they flood the earth.
16 Yes, strength and wisdom are his;
deceivers and deceived are both in his power.
17 He leads counselors away, stripped of good judgment;
wise judges become fools.
18 He removes the royal robe of kings.
They are led away with ropes around their waist.
19 He leads priests away, stripped of status;
he overthrows those with long years in power.
20 He silences the trusted adviser
and removes the insight of the elders.
21 He pours disgrace upon princes
and disarms the strong.

22 “He uncovers mysteries hidden in darkness;
he brings light to the deepest gloom.
23 He builds up nations, and he destroys them.
He expands nations, and he abandons them.
24 He strips kings of understanding
and leaves them wandering in a pathless wasteland.
25 They grope in the darkness without a light.
He makes them stagger like drunkards

Disaster struck this morning when Sam's collar got stuck in the water bowl riser in the kitchen. While attempting to pull it out he dragged water everywhere, scared his big baby brother Chewy into hiding and created a disaster within seconds..note to self: remove the collar when indoors.

In honor of Lola. She was bold, tough, fiesty and she always made herself understood. She helped train her big brother Onyx and taught him manners. When she didn't want to be bothered by other dogs Onyx was quick to step in and defend her. She loved my Mom. Loved to sit with her at 4:00 while my Mom napped and only left her when it was time for bed. That time was reserved for me. Yesterday she would've been 15 years old. Dogs like her come once in a lifetime. They're a blessing that keeps giving and their love remains long after they've gone. Love you little girl...Lola
