This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom.

Because of their sacrifice, we are able to enjoy the simple moments that mean the most — time with our families, laughter in our homes, and the unconditional love of our pets running in our yards. 🇺🇸🐾

Today is more than a long weekend. It is a day to reflect on the courage, selflessness, and dedication of those who never made it home. Their legacy lives on in the freedoms we often take for granted and in the communities we are blessed to serve every day.

As a family-owned business, we are deeply grateful to the military families, veterans, and fallen heroes who have protected this country and the lives we cherish.

Meet R***r — the face behind our logo and a huge part of why we do what we do 🐾❤️

R***r was our (Eric and Mikayla) very first pet together… our first baby before the kids came along. His story started with heartbreak, but turned into one filled with love.

He was found in Detroit, leash wrapped around a tree, struggling to breathe. Luckily someone found him, called the Humane Society and ultimately saved his life. Through a friend of a friend, we received a call asking if we would come meet “Rex” and consider adopting him. The moment we did, we knew he belonged with us.

When R***r first came home, he carried some trauma from his past. Physically, he had significant trauma to his neck and eyes. Emotionally, he was fearful of leashes and nervous around anything hanging above him. But with patience, love, and trust, he slowly learned he was safe.

Today, R***r is the sweetest, most loyal dog and the heart behind our logo. He reminds us every day why giving dogs freedom, safety, and security matters so much.

Every pet deserves to know what true love feels like ❤️

Meet Posey! 🐾

Posey has officially started her training journey with us, and she is already doing AMAZING! From day one, she has been full of excitement exploring her new safe yard and learning the boundaries of her new freedom… just look at that smile!

She’s picking up the training process incredibly quickly and is already showing so much confidence and understanding. It’s been so fun watching her excitement grow as she realizes she can safely run, play, and enjoy her yard with her family. ❤️

We can’t wait to continue watching Posey thrive through her training process!

After many years of serving local families and helping keep pets safe, Bryon is officially passing the torch to Eric as the new owner of Pet Stop Hidden Fence of Southern Michigan.

What makes this transition especially meaningful is that Bryon and Eric have been close friends for many years. Over time, Eric has become like family — truly like a son to Bryon — making this not just a business transition, but a deeply personal one.

Bryon has built this business on trust, integrity, and exceptional customer care, and Eric is honored to continue that legacy with the same commitment and passion for helping pets and their families.

While ownership may be changing, our mission remains exactly the same:
