Talisman to Ring in the Holidays!

Red nosed Roja will be on site to pose with the 130 guests gathering at the Hyatt Kent Island on December 5th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm to benefit Talisman Therapeutic Riding.

The halls will be decked with traditional bells, holly, and candles for guests to enjoy as they sip their cranberry martinis, beer and wine and sample the fare at the hors d’oeuvres stations.

The Easton Presbyterian Church bell choir will get everyone in the holiday spirit and Mr. Steven Hicks Carter, who hails from Broadway, will entertain the guests.

Individual tickets are $125 and $1,200 for tables of eight until November 14th. After that the ticket price will be $150 per person and $1,500 for tables of eight.

Talisman is honoring Mary R. Karpowich this November. She served during WWII, US Army, rank of Corporal, Women’s Army Corps (WAC) at the Armored Tank Division, Ft. Knox, KY. Prior to that, Mary was a civilian worker at the Philadelphia Arsenal, Small Arms Division. She was an inspiration to her family and many others in her community. Mary continued working until the age of 98 in many different fields; although, always reflected that her greatest career moments were during service to her country.

We remember Mary, and recognize her strength and love of family. Her service to country and community continues in legacy as an Original Talisman Farm Founder. Thank you to the Joyner Family for sharing Mary with Talisman.

At Talisman, we are especially proud of our Heroes on Horses Program, which provides veterans, active-duty military, and first responders with the healing power of horses—offering strength, connection, and renewed purpose through equine-assisted activities. We celebrate the resilience of those who have served and find healing in partnership with our dedicated horses and team. Their journeys remind us of the profound bond between humans and horses, and the hope that grows from that connection.
