argest pug rescue organizations in the United States having rescued and placed over 8,500 pugs. Veterinary care is our biggest expense averaging $220,000 a year. All pugs rescued are taken immediately to the vet where they are examined, tested and treated for parasites, infections, vaccinated, sterilized, and microchipped before being placed in a foster or permanent home. DFWPRC is an all-volunteer, foster-based organization — there are no paid positions. We do not have a staging area to hold our rescue pugs. We depend on the generosity of our volunteers to provide foster homes until permanent homes can be located. You can help to promote our mission and be a part of this exciting volunteer opportunity. FedX is a playful young pug in search of his forever home! He loves puzzle toys, bones, lick mats, snuggling with humans, and playing tag with other dogs. He likes other dogs and has been a good boy with kids 7 and up so far! FedX is 23 pounds and only 1 year old.

FedX is crate, leash, and house-trained! He should eat solo since he is curious about other dogs’ food. FedX is cautious around new men and will woof but is so loving once he warms up. He is easily persuaded by treats! FedX is a friendly guy who would fit in with other dogs in the household or as the center of attention.

FedX is a chill, playful guy who loves his toys and kids! Any family searching for a classic Velcro pug would have a great time with him. He is curious, fun-loving, and laid-back. Apply to meet FedX!

Meet Elsie! This spunky girl is 8 years old and 30 pounds. She is sassy and affectionate. Elsie loves to give kisses and play with toys. Her favorite toy is a squeaky octopus. She is very charming and loves attention from anyone, especially kids!

Elsie is an easy girl who is house, crate, and leash-trained. Elsie is polite at mealtime and friendly with other dogs. She would be a great addition to the pack or queen of the castle as a solo pug. Elsie is on a weight loss plan that includes weight-management food and daily exercise.

Corabella is a pretty pug girl who knows it and is ready for adoption! Corabella has plenty of character and is always looking for fun. She is spry and loves to play with toys. Like many pugs, her favorite is her Lamb Chop. She is only 4 years old and 18 pounds.

Corabella is house, crate, and leash-trained. Corabella loves the leash and walks. She’s polite with her food. During playtime, she gets sassy and nippy and so would do best with older children in a cat-free home. Corabella likes other dogs and kids but is a “spicy little meatball” who would do best as a solo pug.

Corabella is a sweet and spicy girl who loves attention and being the boss. If you are looking for a loyal partner pug who is full of character and energy, apply to meet Corabella!

This is exactly the kind of reunion we love to see. 🥹❤️

A found dog was brought to us, and we immediately got to work sharing her on lost dog channels while taking care of her in the meantime. It didn’t take long for her family to find us, and soon enough, they were back together!

Sophie is now microchipped, so everyone can have a little extra peace of mind if she ever makes another accidental escape.

A reminder to microchip your dogs and keep your contact information up to date! And if a lost dog ever comes to us, know that we’ll always do our due diligence to help get them home. We’re so happy when that happy ending happens! 💕

Big guy Larry Joe is an energetic, snuggly brindle bulldog who is as affectionate as he is handsome. He loves his toys, chewing on bones, cuddling, and daily walks. He’s 40 pounds and 3 years old. Larry Joe is mature and well-trained at 3 years old but also full of personality and has his big brown puppy eyes down.

Although he looks like a meathead, Larry Joe is super smart! He is a fast learner who loves training and taking walks. Larry Joe is a good boy on a leash who is house and crate-trained. He likes his dog friends in his foster home but helps himself to leftovers so should eat solo. He is a big, playful guy who would probably do best with older kids and a cat-free home.

If you’re looking for a sweetheart to take walks, learn new tricks, and cuddle on the couch with, this is your guy. Apply to meet active, intelligent, loving Larry Joe!

Merchant is the “cutest, sweetest boy” looking for his forever home! He is round, silly, and adorable. His charming smile lets his little tongue peek out all the time. He is like other pugs in that he loves to both play and plop on the couch. Merchant is only 1 year old and 17 pounds. He’s got plenty of that youthful energy but is still mellow and very well-behaved with children and dogs.

Merchant is house and crate-trained. He’s learning to use a doggy door, walk on the leash, and share mealtimes and treats with other dogs. He’s taken a stand against noise pollution and does not regularly bark!

Merchant is a pleasant, charming pug who gets along with everyone. Apply to make Merchant part of your family!
