To most hunters, canvasbacks are special ducks, but this hen is extra special! The yellow nasal saddle marks her as part of Delta’s research in Manitoba on brood movements and survival.

By marking the hen, we're able to track her broods as she moves throughout the brood rearing season. The saddle is able to be read by a drone from 200 feet in the air! By the time she begins her migration south, the nasal saddle is made to fall away.

This one was riddled with scars and wounds and had a pretty large chunk of antler broke off. Pretty neat to see him on the customers trail cam a few weeks before he was shot.

Good news for all: my prices are staying the same as last year!

Bad news for some: for the 25/26 season, I am taking a break from fish and large geese (larger than an average speck).

I will still accept Ross, cacklers, average specks and medium snow geese. As far as fish go, I may decide to accept crappie and bluegill later in the season.

I am doing this to, hopefully, restore my decent turn around times and to spend more time on each animal. I have been working 6 days a week trying to catch up.

I will reevaluate this decision after the rush of deer season.
