I have a cool story I want to share and I hope I can express it in text to make sense 😂 Bare with me 🙈
If you have any familiarity with Acuscope you’ve heard of biofeedback. This is what gives me the ability to read the tissue and get a sense of how the horse is feeling, accepting the treatments, any issues they might be having, etc.. my Acuscope gives me numbers, high being good, low being somethings up.
So a regular client calls and has a mysterious hitch in the giddyup. The hind end doesn’t feel quite right, but also isn’t lame. So we decide to get out the probes, check some spots, see what we can find. This involves gel dots all over the hind end, both legs, hip to fetlock, on the obvious spots, hips, stifles, hocks, etc. so starting at the hips- low. Stifle- low, lower stifle- low, hocks- low, just not good readings anywhere. Now for the cool part- I do 30 SECONDS of my starting frequency on the hocks, to see if those numbers will come up, now 30 seconds isn’t enough time to keep the numbers up, but I want to see if it will respond, and it does, the hock numbers go from around 40- to around 90! Then we check the stifles again, those numbers ALSO go up!! (I did not do any time on the stifle spots)
The thing that’s so cool about this is probably 2 fold, 1- the body is definitely all connected and for all the nueropathways to function at the top of their game, everything has to work together and feel good! 2- the Acuscope reach is great! When I work on 1 location, it is spreading out to nearby regions, helping more than just that localized area.
This modality is really just the coolest magic science and I love it so much. Heal the body from the inside out, get amazing results, have horses that feel their best, and know that consistency is the key to success!
Pictured is not the probes I use to check numbers, but another awesome tool I can use for tough areas like the stifles. 🥰
