How many of you can remember when Theresa was a full time ACC team member? She came to us many years ago from another general practice in the area, just before she started her animal rescue, and was also trained on the job. She has a different day job these days, but still pulls a few weekend shifts to keep her knowledge and skills fresh. When not working her 2 jobs, Theresa enjoys hiking and home improvement. Autumn was trained on the job when she joined our team a couple years ago. Back then, she lived in Granite City and worked a full time schedule. She has since moved across the river, but still keeps her skills sharp by working every Saturday we are open. When not working, Autumn tends to her amazing garden, ducks, chickens, and even a few crazy dogs! Be sure to thank her when you swing by on a Saturday.

Teresa is technically our main receptionist these days, but will still fill in as a technician when needed. Did you know she started at the Animal Care Center as a kennel attendant back in 2000?! She learned a lot on the job and worked her way up over the years. She also acts as the clinic liaison between new team members and management. When not at work, Teresa can be found hanging with her furry and feathered babies. If you have a bird (especially a large one), you most definitely should thank Teresa for caring for them as her own!

Angie began her relationship with the Animal Care Center as a client many years ago. At the time, she co-managed a local rescue. Her veterinary experience was acquired through positions at a local ER practice, as well as another local general practice. We became her work home when she was looking for a family friendly practice that would schedule her around her home responsibilities. Of course, we all benefit from her joy of handling the spiciest of cats! When not at work, she runs around to all the family activities. And she recently started to take her newest fur member to dog shows. Be sure to say thanks to Angie next time you see her! (Especially if you have one of those spicy kitties!)

If you don’t know Amy, are you even from Granite City? Originally from GC, she seems to know just about everyone that walks through our door. Amy started out at the Animal Care Center when she completed her school externship on site. After graduation, she worked a short time at one of the area’s emergency clinics. But, once a position opened at ACC, she permanently joined our team. When not at work, Amy enjoys bowling and sitting around a fire pit. Next time you’re in, be sure to ask her about her personal animal collection and thank her for taking care of your pets!

This is the current state of our surgery area and diagnostic space within our building. Due to a flood, we have been completely dismantled while the professionals devise a plan to repair and seal our basement. As you can see, this is not a safe space to perform surgical procedures or to board any of your beloved pets. We deeply apologize to any of our clients that have had to reschedule or temporarily postpone appointments and procedures. Unfortunately, this situation is completely out of our control, and we are even more inconvenienced than those we serve. Thank you for your understanding during this time. We hope to return to offering full service within a few weeks.
