Summer Riding Lessons at Aspen Star Ranch

There’s still time to get signed up for June group riding lessons!

Evening classes are offered Monday–Thursday at 5:30 PM, with limited morning and afternoon lesson options available based on signup.

With more than 40 years of experience teaching riding lessons and horsemanship, we are proud to offer a welcoming program for riders of all experience levels — from beginners learning the basics to experienced riders interested in training and showing.

✨ Regular lessons for ages 6+✨ Tiny Tots classes available for ages 4 and 5✨ Horses and tack provided✨ Safe, supportive, and educational environment

Lessons are sold in blocks of 8 for $300.

ASR Lucky Rollr Whiz getting his exercise in despite the storm. Yesterday we got our first mare confirmed in foal by him. Can’t wait to see what this cross produces.

First time in the show pen for the 3-year-olds this past weekend at "Slidin Daze" Enterprises.

Xyla stepped up in a big way and got us a win. Xerxes was well behaved and trying his best — just still learning how to channel all his energy and excitement.

A weekend with its ups and downs, but a good start for both. We’re excited with how these horses kicked off their show careers and can’t wait to see how they continue to improve.

“ASR Rockin Robin” - 2019 solid APHA gelding - 15.2 hands

“Ingot” is a solid, versatile gelding with a strong foundation and good mind. He has been ridden extensively both in and out of the arena. He has real outside miles, including checking cattle, working the flag, and handling various terrain such as water crossings and rocky ground with confidence. Ingot handles time off well and comes back as the same horse, ready to go to work. He is athletic, willing, and adaptable, making him well-suited for a variety of programs.

Impromptu training session with Nellie today. We haven’t officially started 2-year-old boot camp yet, but she was hanging out by the round pen while I worked some client horses, so I decided to catch her and see what she remembered from weanling boot camp.
Lisa Buckley had a theory that I could probably just saddle her and get on—and I think she was right. We’re so lucky to be able to raise such good-minded horses that truly make our job easier.
