Are sole purpose is to rescue, provide quality care, rehabilitate and educate new parrot owners for homeless unwanted parrots & special need birds. I am now 55 years old now I started out by being on a Ranch ​with Turkeys, Peacocks, Chickens, Geese, Ducks, and Pigeons. Latter on I started to get into exotic birds one day a Gray normal cockatiel flew on to the Ranch that landed next to me while I
was feeding the turkeys. I took the bird home I fell in love with the bird then later on I added a Peach face lovebird, Cherry headed Conure, Nanday Conure to my bird family. Soon after that my friends just started to let me have their birds that they no longer wanted, These are some of the first birds given to me where budgie parakeets, second was a Peacock hen & third were tuxedo button quails. As time went by my experience with birds keeps growing word has gotten around my neighborhood, Now even people in my church were giving their children's birds that they lose interest in and out grow. I have never turned a bird down I knew animal shelters are more often over crowded always cold, drafty for birds, they can get sick quite quickly, their very noisy, and most likely there understaffed as well. Over all animal shelters are just not fully equipped to take care of parrots. This is another reason I do not like turning birds down. I know about pet flippers that are on Craig's list that look for free pets, Flip them for as much money as possible and not caring about the birds best interest. I have been given a variety of birds over the years such as Macaws, Umbrella Cockatoo, different species of Amazons from Blue Fronted, Yellow Naped, Double Headed Yellow, Red Crown, Lilac, Different types of Conures Red-Masked Parakeet, Mustache Parakeet, Indian Ringneck Parakeet, Alexandrian Parakeet, Senagal parrot, Black Headed Caique, Lovebirds, Cockatiels, Red Rump parakeet, English Budgies, American Budgie parakeets, Finches, Pigeons, Doves and Button Quails. So I decided to start a parrot rescue out of my home. As a hobby for birds that need a place to go when their not wanted any more by their owners. Family member that Inherits a parrot that not a bird person knowing nothing about it being abandoned by them, Found injured birds dropped off by concerned people and even seized birds by Local officials. I personally loved taking the parrots to my son's school when he was younger "Educating & Teaching" the children about exotic birds that parrots are a Lifetime commitment and the important role they have in the Ecosystem in their native wild habitats. Well by now you must now birds are my love and passion in life!
