My birthday wish today is to find King a loving home.
Please read his bio in the post. He is very smart and well behaved. So much so, that he was accepted into a service dog training program, but his designated future human's landlord would not allow him because of part of his DNA.
If you are not able to adopt, please help me in sharing his story. Donations to IdaHope for Animals are always welcome to help with the costs of care for the animals we currently have in foster.

UPDATE: Sadly King's hopes have been destroyed. The new owner that would be receiving King after his training, rents and the landlord will not allow her to have King due to that he is a mix of a breed he will not allow.
This sweet guy passed all of the temperament, adaptability, health, and obedience qualification to be accepted by a very special program. That dream is now gone due to part of his DNA.
If anyone is looking for an absolutely wonderful new family member, King is still looking for his forever family.

IdaHope for Animals is happy to announce that King, one of our long term foster dogs has found his calling and will soon be going to his new home.
King has been selected by The Furgiving Project through the Idaho Correctional Institution Orofino, ID. After the completion of his 8 week training program, he will go to his new home/owner to serve as a stability assistance K9 and provide tons of snuggles and emotional support to his new owner.
IdaHope will not be charging the program/new owner the adoption fee which helps to offset the costs of neuter/vaccines/etc, but if anyone would like to contribute, no amount is too small.
