Therap Welcome to The ARC! chronic lameness.

Our facility will be the first of it's kind in the Kansas City metro. We offer individual patient evaluations and make specific treatment recommendations to achieve specific goals. We will utilize a wide variety of treatment modalities including an underwater treadmill, therapeutic exercise, comprehensive pain management, Class IV therapeutic LASER, acupuncture and massage. There are opportunities

to improve mobility and enhance quality of life for ALL of our patients at ALL life stanges. Post operative rehabilitation and post injury rehabilitation are critical for our pets, maintaining and strengthening muscles properly can result in a complete recovery vs. Our senior patient's muscles, bones and joints need the TLC provided by therapeutic LASER and acupuncture while exercising in the low impact underwater treadmill. We can help you maintain your pets mobility at all life stages and help you understand how to care for their specific conditions or injuries at home. We will work together with you and our trainer to teach your pet to accept the rehabilitation and exercise, never forcing them into uncomfortable situations. We ❤️ snuffle mats ‼️

Registration is now open for our Make Your Own Snuffle Mat Workshop!

Love your dog and want to make a fun activity for them? This snuffle mats class is for you! Snuffle mats provide mental and physical stimulation for your dog. They can help dogs slow down eating while encouraging them to use their amazing sense of smell to find food.

Class is for ages 6 and up (42 in dog years). All supplies are provided, however if you have some leftover fleece fabric you’d like to use, bring it. We’ll be using scissors to cut the fabric and attendees just need to know how to tie a basic knot. Come join us in talking about our wonderful pets while making a great activity mat for them.

🎵Ain't nothin' gonna to break my stride
Nobody gonna slow me down, oh no
I got to keep on moving
Ain't nothin' gonna break my stride
I'm running and I won't touch ground
Oh no, I got to keep on moving 🎵

A common misconception about pain in our pets is that a pet must vocalize or whine to express pain. In actuality, pets only vocalize in cases of severe pain such as after a fracture or a disc rupture. More commonly, the signs of pain are subtle. This graphic is a good illustration of some of the more subtle signs we can look for to determine if our pet is in pain.

September is Animal Pain Awareness Month. Our pets don't always want to tell us that they are in pain, nor do they sometimes know how. If you notice any of these signs in your furry friends, contact your vet.
