Dear people who want to show, do your homework. Study your breed of choice BEFORE you get the dog. Go to specialty shows (many) BEFORE you get a puppy. Meet and talk to several breeders. Do NOT buy your prospect from someone who doesn't show, or one who shows but hasn't titled several dogs. (We're ALL busy. We make time because it's important.) Do not buy your puppy from a breeder who isn't planning to keep at least one from the litter. What were they breeding for? Did they get it? Do not buy your puppy from someone who lets you pick your puppy at 1, 2, 3 or even 6 weeks. Do not buy your puppy from a breeder who does not health test and go to appropriate specialists. You won't always win, but you will save yourself the heartache and disappointment of trying to succeed with a mediocre dog. If you just want a pet, go yo the same breeders, they will have top quality pets that have been bred, raised and cared for in a way that will give you the best chance at a healthy puppy that lives for many years.

Some of you asked why I did not keep a puppy from my litter this year. I felt that it was getting tougher every year to find good dobermans with solid clean health, longevity, good temperment and conformation that is true to the breed. I found one this year and decided to diversify our pedigrees. Meet Via Felicium Show Queen. She is staying in Russia and showing under the training and handling of Ekaterina Konolova. This past weekend was her debut for the ring and she held true to her breeding and her name by winning her division. The other photos are of her and her mother, Via Felicium Neva, who also showed and won over all divisions. Finding the right pedigree to add to a line is a slow complex process. I'm hoping that this little girl will go far in helping to preserve the doberman we all want, which is to live a long healthy life, have great personality and temperment and hold the look of the regal nobility they were bred to be. WOW! 7 weeks old and I'm not sure where the time went. This week we had first car rides, one as a group and one as the only puppy in the car, got the first vaccines, had another round of dewormer, and got microchips. They spent time on the wobble board learning balance and agility, started crate training, had lessons on nail trimming using the Dremel, getting a bath, and made progress on potty training. Today we go for the Volhard tests (personality, aptitude, and temperament) and ear crop appointments are scheduled to start new week. My time with this litter is coming to an end too quickly. While we do not reserve and assign specific puppies before the personality tests are completed, time is fast approaching when we place all these puppies with a permanent family. If there is anyone that has asked for an information packet and hasn't gotten one, or if you want a packet, please let me know as I've been a bit busy and may have slipped up on getting them out. You can also follow all our "troop" on face book at Doberman of Chaudet Creek. One week with the "puppy look" and then on to the look of a growing Doberman. Boy, the time has flown by quickly!

It is with mixed emotions that I announced how happy I was this week to nominate Jake's Dad Teraline Heartland for the coveted Longevity award for reaching the age of 10, and now I must also announce that his mother, Flight To The Future de Grande Vinko has passed away in Russia at the age of 9.6 years from cancer. We are honored to carry on the legacy from this wonderful combination and while our hearts delight with the life of Teraline Heartland, it breaks with the loss of Flight To The Future. Both earned Russia Championships and have honored the Doberman breed very well. Here are a few shots from the lives of mom, dad, Jake, and brother Jerro. Thanks to both for what you have done for us all!❤💝

Here's Chaudet Civil Czar aka Czar at 7.5 months going to work. Rumor has it that he's doing an outstanding job and moving ahead quickly. Nice job Meredith Rowlette ! Here's the little Brownie as a baby. Litter C is growing up way too fast and Brownie now weighs a whopping 85 lbs!

Got photos in of another member of Litter C. This is Chaudet Cinder Legion, aka Legion, she lives in Louisana at 7.5 months, she too is growing into a nice young lady! She has her sire, Jake's eyes. Shannon Stewart Brown , please give her a big hug from me and thanks for the photos!

Just wanted to shout out a Kudos on this ear posting. This is Enzo (aka Chaudet la Costra Nostra). The 13 year old son of the household took on the task of ear posting and has done a super job. Way to go and great job!
