Meet miss Lexi, the newest training student to join Whiskers University!๐Ÿ’•

Lexi will be doing a customized training program over the next 10 weeks to work on building her confidence around new people, in new environments, managing and reducing her anxiety as well as the implementation of some basic obedience elements.

This little girl is nervous, but is so brave and we can't wait to see how far she will come through her training program!๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’•

Starting off the week strong here at Whiskers University!๐Ÿพ

Boone Dock & Boyne worked so hard during their sessions today despite the heat!

Boone Dock, the lab, did a great job learning the "stay" command today in our boarding lobby and really enjoyed all the rewards he got for being a very good boy!๐Ÿคฉ

Boyne, the golden doodle, nailed impulse control around both dogs and people like a pro in our daycare and grooming lobby this morning as he finishes out the last two weeks of his training!๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ

Boone Dock and Boyne hope that you all had an amazing weekend enjoying the sunshine and are staying cool as the heat continues into this week!

Rigby has been doing so well in his first two weeks of training!๐Ÿพ

Rigby has been working so hard with all of the challenges our trainer has helped him through in order to build up his confidence! That hard work is really starting to pay off! This sweet boy was so happy to be out in our sniff garden, exchanging sniffs through the fence with the pups in the daycare yards! He really has started to come out of his shell and is a completely different dog than what we saw from him on his first day of training!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿพ

We are so proud of Rigby's progress so far! It is so amazing to see him go from a scared, nervous guy, to a sweet, social little man in such a short amount of time!๐Ÿฅฐ

A couple more new furry faces joining Whiskers University this week!๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ˜

This week, Rigby and Boone Dock (Boone) are joining us to start their training journeys!

Rigby is doing a custom training program focusing around boosting his confidence and independence, and learning various elements of basic obedience. We hope to help Rigby be able to navigate the world and his day to day life with more confidence all well being the best boy! He is such a sweet boy and we can't wait to see his progress!

Boone is coming to us to get some refreshment on his previously taught training and to create more consistency throughout his training! This sweet, squishy man is ready to learn and earn all the treats he can get! We are looking forward to seeing his progress as well! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’•

โœจEmployee Shoutout today goes to Ally!โœจ

Ally has been with Whiskers for 2 years working as both one of our lovely front desk ladies and also is our dog trainer! (All of the posts you see of the hard working training pups are all her!)

Ally has 2 dogs; Fynn the Golden Retriever and Kenai the German Shepherd and 2 horses named Gymmy and Rooster.

Her favorite part of her job is seeing the progress of her training dogs and watching some of them start off as nervous and transforming into confident, brave doggos!

Ally is passionate about the working line breeds, specifically German Shepherds. Outside of work, she is involved in the Protection Sports Association and loves doing bite work with her dog Kenai. ๐Ÿพ

Ally is so knowledgeable about all things dogs and it's always a guarantee that she'll have you laughing when you're working with her. We absolutely love having her at Whiskers! ๐Ÿ˜

Last week we had two dogs graduate from their training programs: Lucy & Grey!๐Ÿพ๐Ÿฅณ

Both of these dogs did a fantastic job in their training programs and put 110% during their training sessions!

Lucy completed our "For the Dogs" - Basic Obedience Program where she thought learning was simply just a different form of playing! With Lucy being a younger dog, she gets bored easily, so we utilized play (and of course, treats) as rewards for her and made training very fun for her! Lucy did a wonderful job with all of the elements she learned and showed improvement across the board! During her training program, her favorite exercise was the "place" command!๐Ÿ’•

Graduation day is always bittersweet, but when a dog has been coming twice a week for 10 weeks, it hits a little bit harder! Grey completed a custom training plan that was 10 weeks in length with focus being on consistency with his previously learned training skills, and introducing off-leash training elements! Grey has made tremendous improvements in all of his skills and is doing fantastic with his off-leash skills as well! Grey's favorite exercise during this round of training was off-leash recall!๐Ÿ’™

We are so incredibly proud of these two doggos and are sending them a huge congratulations for all of their hard work! Good job Lucy & Grey!๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿฅณ

Our newest Whiskers University Student, Boyne joined us this week to kick off his training program!๐Ÿพ

Boyne is joining our Basic Obedience Program to work on his overall obedience skills, how to respectfully hang out with guests when they come to his house, barking at the door, and making his recall more consistent!

We are so excited to be a part in Boyne's training journey and can't wait to see all of the progress he makes over the next few weeks!
