River has been working so hard helping his older brother feel better, and a young one to learn leash skills, along with proper social skills, that he hasn't been able to do a whole lot just for his own self. He's been so dedicated when doing his therapy visits, that he comes home a just sleeps right after. So with all that, who thinks it's time for River to have another shopping adventure, to reap his rewards of all his hard work?

It's that time of year, be very aware of bringing your dog in the car, and if they need to remain in the car. Heat stroke can happen fast for a dog, especially in a car/truck, and even with the windows open.

What a fun time introducing swim time to a young Golden. I've had her do a couple other water experiences prior to swimming, made sure to introduce her slow, and allow her to see for herself the joy that water can have for a dog. She had an absolute blast, did amazing, and when I walked out farther in the water she got brave enough to swim. What a great lesson on building confidence slowly, and how that helps the dog.

Here is one Happy Tails Dog working on his leash skills, and learning in town walking skills. He started out very unsure of how to react around other dogs and distractions. River worked very hard to show him quietness, calmness, and how to trust his owners to guide him. He has been a very diligent Happy Tails dog these past 6 months, and his 3rd trip walking in town. I'm super proud of his owners working consistently with him outside of his lessons, and allowing him to gain confidence. Thanks for being a Happy Tails dog Samson!
